Horrendous staff makes a decaying building worse

I honestly don't have anything nice to say about this complex. Countless problems within my old unit (exploding water heater, gas leak in the stove, drafty windows, fire alarms that constantly went off, just to name a few). That doesn't even include the countless calls to maintenance to fix a rodent infestation. In the end we caught 5 mice in the unit. Despite all that, the staff would not take steps to prevent mice from getting in, repeatedly stating everything was fine. The office manager, Kelly, is one of the most unprofessional, uncourteous, and all around useless people I have ever encountered. She would be accusatory when a problem occurred. She literally tried to blame me for damages to my own personal property that occurred when the water heater exploded. How she has a job that involves human interaction is beyond me. Finally, when I first moved in, I was told when my original 12 month lease was up, I could renew for 6 months at the same price. Never happened and they refused to admit telling me that, saying that I was in a 'black unit', whatever that meant. I could not move out fast enough and am thankful I am out of that complex and now living in a complex that actually seems to care.
