Resident ā€¢ 2017 - 2018

2/18/2018

I've lived here for appx 6 months now. There have been some positives and some negatives about the unit. Positives: Perfect location right off of exit 8 (Rte 3). Lots of shopping close, fast access to the highway making it easier for commuting. One of the few Apartment complexes that allow dogs (over the size of a chihuahua) Maintenance is FAST. I've only had to request support a couple of times but they got in and fixed it quickly High Speed Internet (But you only have one option... Comcast) Onsite Laundry Negatives: Can only have one car. If you have two people in the apartment, you can have two. This is probably because they need to keep a certain amount of spaces open during the winter so that people can move their cars around tetris style for the snow removal. What sucks is that their policy is all year round, So if you have a summer time fun toy, you can't have it here (or risk it being towed). Motorcycles are allowed, but they have to fit within the parking space along with your car (yeah... that childish) One washer and one dryer per floor. Just becomes an issue when 12 apartments are trying to use the same machines (weekends... good luck) and the payment system kinda sucks (It's not quarters, but it's not like you can just have a card that re-applies a specified amount... you first have to physically go down to the office to re-load it) The snow removal takes a while to get to the steps. Kinda sucks when you've got ice all over the place and shattered your ankle last year from something similar Walls are PAPER thin. Never good when you can hear your neighbors banging next door (wakes me up through the sound of the sleep machine even) Their move in costs were not forthcoming. Ran into an issue where when all said and done, they wanted 3 months worth of rent, two months prior to moving in. If you aren't able to come up with the money by the due date, they hold the money you put down on the apartment. This to me was a red flag, but I'd already committed. Just be thorough to ask, because they're not willing to work with you on it afterwards. The apartment is pretty outdated. The only light in the apartment is in the kitchen (and one when you very first walk in). Overall I can't say that this would be my first place to rent from. The apartment is too far outdated for the rent they want. For an extra $300 a month you can get an updated place (No W/D in unit)... but I can't afford a $1600 apartment just for myself.
