My family and I have lived here for approximately four (4) years. Generally, regarding apartments, there are three items of concern :

1) Do you get what you pay for (rent verse size and functionality of unit)
2) How restrictive is the lease agreement
2) How does the management treat the tenants

First, the buildings/units utilize very cheap materials / components. In the winter, the windows leak cold air like nobodies business. The heating systems are inexpensive/ineficient and subject to break-down. Over all, the rent is a little high for the square footage. (these are just some examples)

Second, with the introduction of the new management, a very detailed, and VERY land-lord weighted lease agreement is offered. The lease agreement includes line items dealing with each minute item in the apartment (ie. the ice trays will cost you $3 a pop if lost/broken). As an additional example, the lease states the "proper way" your car must be parked in the lot (front in and subject to towing if non-compliant). As a final example, the leases end on the 28th of the last month (but you pay for the entire month and if you need those last few days before you move out, you know you are going to pay thru the nose for them). When asked why such things are necessary on a lease, the new management simply replies :"Company Policy". In short, it does not take a rocket scientist to conclude that the lease terms are set up to milk the tenants out of money when they move out.

Finally, the New Management (really, the person running the show is the new property manager) leaves lots to be desired. In short, the Property Manager is definitely not a "people person". She does not treat people with respect, nor does she "discuss concerns of the tenants". She merely states "thats the policy" and talks down to the tenants (I have spoken with my neighbors, and many of them feel she is a B**ch). My neighbors and I feel it would be best if Princeton Props. saw fit to "re-locate" her to another position.

Also, it can be argued that "improvements" have been / are being made. Again, it does not take Donald Trump to realize that the money for such renovations will ultimately come from the tenants. Since the new management arrived, the rent has been rapidly going up, and my educated guess is that it will inflate quite a bit more over the coming years (to bleed the cost out of new tenants).
