Avoid this building at all cost!

The Grand is part of a real estate portfolio developed by NRIA (National Realty Investment Advisors), whose executives have been charged in a $658 million Ponzi scheme. NRIA went bankrupt in 2022, and the building is now under the control of the AIRN Liquidation Trust (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey, Case No. 22-14539). A few months ago, the original property manager (RHO Residential, also tied to NRIA) suddenly pulled out. Greystar has since taken over, but operations remain unstable. We were promised rooftop amenities like a BBQ area, still not delivered. The elevators in this 15-story building have gone out of service, and there is no valid elevator permit, which is required by NJ law. One of the main doors were constantly broken, and nothing was done until homeless individuals were seen wandering around inside the building. Residents were asked to stay home for a city inspection that never happened. We've submitted multiple complaints, about the missing elevator permit, undelivered amenities, safety issues, and ignored inspections, and Greystar has done nothing. No responses. No accountability. Everything goes into thin air. If you're thinking of renting here, research NRIA and the building's legal history first.

    Hi Lamija, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for speaking with me in person. I'm glad we were able to agree on a resolution that worked for you. I do want to share that the items mentioned had already been addressed prior to our conversation. The door lock issue was resolved, an overnight security patrol was added, and our elevator permit remains valid and up to date. Whenever an elevator concern arises, our service provider to address them. We are a community that is in lease up, so some of our amenities are in progress including the rooftop grills and our package room. Both of these enhancements are underway though. While we know not every experience is perfect, we truly value the opportunity to listen, take action, and make improvements so our residents feel happy, comfortable, and at home.
