Resident 2022 - 2024

2/14/2024

My experience at this community has been mediocre. The quality of the apartment is underwhelming. The front staff office has displayed no interest in helping myself or other residents. And the maintenance staff (that has since been replaced) avoided me, lied to me, and tried to use intimidation to prevent me from submitting work orders. This complex is branded as a luxury complex but is absolutely not. Amenities included in our rent are a gated community and a pool. The pool is regularly out of service and the water ranges in color due to lack of maintenance. The gates have broken several times and one of them had been broken for almost six months. In that time I have been almost hit by multiple cars (my body and my car) who are using the exit only gate as a high speed entrance. We have received zero communication on why this gate hasn't been repaired and have not received any concession for the amenity that is now gone. When I moved into this apartment I had a broken stove, broken microwave, and a broken dishwasher. I was told I didn't know how to use the stove (which was incorrect). I was told I couldn't be loaned a microwave because my appliances are white and they only had silver microwaves. My dishwasher flooded my kitchen twice due to clogs that should have been address prior to move in. Additionally my ice maker was broken - leaking and producing ice with paper and metal shavings. I was told not to submit a work order because other people had it worse. Over the course of several visits where I was outnumbered three men to one woman, we finally discovered that I did in fact know how to use my appliances and they were actually broken. It took over six weeks for me to get a microwave. No concessions were provided. I have continued to have issues where I can't produce hot water and run my heater at the same time. I've asked for clarification ? and apparently yes, I do pay almost $1800 per month for a luxury apartment that cannot have hot water and a warm apartment during the winter. Further, when I was asked for the price basis for my rent at renewal, which is higher than all of my neighbor who have upgraded units, management refused to provide me with that information. I pay over $100 more per month than most of my neighbors with partially or fully upgraded units with working appliances. This experience has been beyond subpar for the price I have paid to live in this community. I will not be renewing my lease due to the poor quality of my apartment and the treatment by property staff.
