Although no place is perfect&#44; this is by far one of the nicest communities I have lived at in Albuquerque. The staff is great and VERY friendly&#44; the rent is reasonable&#44; and maintenance is on top of everything. It&#39;s in a great area&#44; and we get assigned parking spots&#44; which is more than I can say for other nightmare complexes I have lived at. I always feel safe here&#44; and all the neighbors kinda watch out for one another. I&#39;ve even done my laundry in the middle of the night in the community laundry room and felt at ease.

With that said&#44; the only problems I have encountered so far is thin walls (which you get at virtually every apartment complex) and sometimes people park in your assigned spot&#44; which is totally annoying. Also&#44; I wish security did more courtesy patrols. That&#39;s about it&#44; though! I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived at Prairie Hills for a year now&#44; and it&#39;s been a very good experience. The staff members are pleasant&#44; courteous and professional. Repairs are generally made within 24 hours&#44; and the property is always clean and well maintained&#44; with beautiful landscaping. I have a large dog&#44; and they are very pet friendly (they actually greet her by name). I would highly recommend Prairie Hills!

I fear for my life at this apartment complex. I have never had such a scary experience in my life as I did over the weekend of 10/15/2021. On the evening of 10/15 a bullet entered my apartment through the kitchen window as shown in the images below. This bullet went through my wall and ended up in my dining room. The kitchen is along the same wall as my bedroom which is only ten feet away so it came extremely close to entering my bedroom. I can no longer comfortably sleep in this complex after the emotional trauma I experienced. The scary part is that the bullet was shot from another tenant at the complex who accidentally fired a shot through their window and into my apartment which is across the pool area. As you can imagine it has been emotionally difficult thing to deal with knowing I came that close to being shot by a stray bullet in the middle of the night. All I want is to leave this complex to somewhere I can feel safe. When presenting my concerns to management I was given two options. Option One - give a 30 day notice then pay the 1000 termination fee (which is no different then moving for any other reason). Option Two - Move to a different apartment at the same complex at the end of November when that unit becomes available. Neither option allows me to move immediately which is what I want to do since I am terrified of living here. I understand their contact covers situations like this so that they are not held legally responsible but I was hoping they would morally come to an agreement with me so that way I can leave the premises to somewhere where I donâ€™t feel like my life is in danger. It is really saddening to see that they care more about their money then the safety and emotional well being of their tenants. I was hoping to be able to leave without a 30 day notice and paying the 1000 termination fee but instead they want 1800 upfront to leave and I would be responsible for paying for a new residence in the same month which I cannot afford to do. The staff was made aware of the incident by the police on the morning of 10/15 but they never reached out to me to ensure if I was okay. After the police left I went downstairs to go talk to management but they closed an hour early on Saturday (even though they are only open from 10AM to 2PM on Saturdays) so I had to wait until Monday to talk to anyone about the incident. Monday morning I was told the manager was busy and wasnâ€™t able to talk to her until the afternoon. After she told me their was nothing more she can do (besides the options mentioned above), I asked to talk to the regional manager in which I was told she would contact me on 10/19 but I never heard from her. It has been four days since the incident and I still have a hole in my wall from the bullet, there has been no effort to repair the damages to this point. Clearly this incident and my safety is not a priority for them. I do not feel safe in this neighborhood nor does the management give me any comfort knowing they care for the safety and emotional well being of their tenants. I wouldâ€™ve hoped the apartment management wouldâ€™ve shown more sympathy to my situation given the severity of the incident but the lack of attention and caring that was given to the situation makes you realize this is not a safe environment to live in.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! This is the worst place we have ever lived. I have never felt so unsafe and totally disregarded in my WHOLE life. We have been asking to get bathroom sink and kitchen sink fixed for weeks now. They are both leaking to the point of borderline flooding, we are unable to use them without the pipes letting out a stream below. The first experience Ive had with Maintenance was creepy to say the least. I was home alone in our bedroom when this man walks into my apartment without even knocking nor letting himself be known, What if I was naked? He then proceeds to half-ass fix our bathroom sink (which was unsuccessful) and left, We are now at the point of risking everything and leaving our lease early. These people don&apos;t give a F***K about you, they want your money and that is it. Whatever you do, DO NOT LIVE IN THIS HELL HOLE.
