Poor management
It's easy to see why there's no waiting list for this property and two others he manages. After months of trying to contact anyone to help with the application process I finely got this man on the phone, all the bad reviews became real. A tarabal person in control of all these properties. Sadly Tupper lake must be crossed off for a good place to live for seniors.

The management; is inept and incompetent, often tenants are treated poorly, heavy handed comes to mind. Bullies round out the management, from the compliance officer to the site manager, the maintenance manager is often negligent in his duties, I would NOT recommend this property.

social services mistakes
social services is letting mentally disturbed young people and others with very poor hygiene habits that make you sick into what was a very nice building. Many of the good folks have moved out within the past three months. I'm next. You can't put disturbed people in with healthy people most of whom are seniors. One fellow here had his tires slashed. I would not recommend this place. The management and staff are great, but they can't tell social services who they'll accept into the building. Trash is moving the good people out.

One Who Escaped
As a former resident of the Greenwood I am an authority on health, safety, abusive treatment experienced inthe apartment Complex. The building's infrastructure is permeated with mold, mildew, cigrarette by-products, formaldehyde and it is more of an institutional setting rather than a "home" or residence in that we do not have unrestricted access to a back door, to a community room or the laundry facilities. My doctor recommended that I re-locate immediately when my respiratory system was compromised. Dr. Pond at the Urgent Care Center in Lake Placid has known since 2000 that mold and mildew seeped into the infrastructure when the water heaters continually broke and flooded the main floor. The sewer backs up to this day and the laudryroom has a stench of backed up sewage. The backdoor key unavailability is a quinessential safety hazard with infirm, elderly and developmentally disabled people forced to trek through a parking lot in inclement weather. This is unconscionable. Lawsuits have been won in one instance when a resident physically assaulted another and management did nothing to remedy the crime. If you have a pet, there is no rule to safeguard it from an agressive dog also resding there. Greenwood is the place for you if your only other option is a large cardboard box.
