Beware or be sorry
Gotham Organization is one of the more corrupt landlords in the city. Nice properties but they come with mid-lease rent increases, coercive tactics including threats of eviction if the tenant doesn't agree to sign illegal riders, failure to abide by Rent Stabilization Law, refusal to provide copy of counter-signed leases, and on and on. This management is a nightmare and is embroiled in countless regulatory complaints and lawsuits. Basically the management is not talented enough to compete with the big boys like Related Companies, so they cheat tenants in order to make themselves look like a success. Beware or be sorry.

Nice amenities but you must pay extra $60 to get an access. Awful management treats a resident like an enemy. The front desk staff are friendly and competent. Many residents are young, hardly see seniors or kids. Lots of dogs - with many awful owners who allow their dogs to pee on the wall by the entrance, or not picking up poops.

My wife and I have been living at Gotham West for a year now. We loved our first GW apartment, a beautiful 1 bedroom with full view of the Hudson River, and had a terrific experience transferring to a 2 bedroom unit within GW just last week. Michael from the Leasing Office was incredibly competent, positive, and efficient in helping us secure this apartment. We were on a tight timeline due to complications with moving our grand piano and Michael helped us finalize our lease transfer in record speed, and with utmost professionalism! We are grateful to Michael and others on the Leasing Office staff; Krystal and Yvonne were also extremely helpful. We were impressed that Michael, Krystal, and Yvonne were so attentive to our needs and requests while grappling with the stressful and dangerous reality of working face-to-face with people during a pandemic. Aside from our terrific experience with Michael and the Leasing Office, we have also enjoyed a kind and courteous staff (especially Mitch from the Front Desk!), exceptionally clean pet-friendly building, and a homey yet vibrant neighborhood with many small businesses and great food options.

The property itself is really nice, lounge beautiful , top terrance amazing in the summer, but the NOISE from the Hudson Terrace club pounding base sounds almost every night AND weekend unbearable. Building can do nothing about it and we should complain to the local community board. Zoning here allows these clubs and noise to go without montoring. 311 calls no help either. The noise from the UPS depot trucks at all hours of the night is even worse from all the backing up trucks.

Just signed our lease! -------------- make this easy and made my wife and I feel informed and welcomed. Appreciate all they did. Very different experience from the initial call set up with the other agent ----------. They would be wise to ditch her, awful attitude. -----------

I love this place. The quality of the interiors is excellent, with top end appliances. The management respond quickly and efficiently to any problems (and those problems are minimal). There are terrific events in the building and with associated companies. Yes, you hear stuff from outside, but this is central NY, and I am fine with traffic, having lived in big cities all my life. My only complaint has been noisy dogs in neighbouring apartments that owners leave by themselves all day. I have never heard anyone else. Management moved me to another apartment, but there should be stricter controls over people who do not hire people to look after their noisy pets.

We were very excited to move into this new building. Unfortunately, Rose Associates took over the management of the building shortly after we moved in and the level of customer service hit rock bottom. In this luxury building they charge significantly (up to $75 depending on the time of day) to let you in your apartment if you forget your key... mind you, for that price, they don't escort you to the apartment, they just had you the key and you have to bring it right back. Also, while the apartments look nice, the construction and materials used were pretty shoddy. When you move out, they keep half your deposit to fix the cheap things that fall apart during normal wear and tear, with no explanation. We paid to move when our lease was up after just one year. One final note, you can hear everything from outside, particularly the traffic noise leading into the Lincoln Tunnel during rush hour.
