Looks great ... till you move in
This place looked great when we first moved in, we later came to find that all was not what it seemed. Here is my tale .... The carpets were not properly cleaned, we had to vaccum numerous times to get all the tiny carpet fibers up, to this day we still get a bunch of carpet fibers when we vaccum. The air vents were barely blowing any warm air out, my other half had to clean all of them out in order to get any air flow in our apartment. When he cleaned, there were old nails, mounds of dust and what looked like lint and he even found an old rats nest. The carpet is cheap to say the least and resulted in not only us but several visitors getting a rash from it on our/their legs when we sat down on the floor and also breathing problems from the fibers. It is coming up in bits on the stairway and the corners of rooms. The wood floor which we first found nice, has been rapidly seperating, resulting in pinched feet when walking across it. The kitchen has ONE drawer - yes just one and the cabnetsā¦Ā See More>anonymous

WORST APARTMENT EVER
DO NOT rent from Spring Creek. We were lured into this apartment community by lower prices and recent renovations. First the renovations are cheap and poorly done. We have ONE drawer in the kitchen that isn't even big enough to hold silverware. The shower head is great- if you're 5 feet tall. These are only a few of the problems we have faced. The management is horrible and constantly lies. Don't listen to the "good reviews" I'm sure the shady leasing agents posted them. I have never written a review- positive or negative- but this experience has been so horrible that I had to make sure others didn't make our mistake. Whatever you do, do NOT rent from them.

Place is ok, but the price is right
I agree--the plea for positive ratings via giftcards (nothing for negative or neutral ratings) was, in my opinion, ridiculous and completely invalidates most of those responses that come after this. I also felt like it insulted my intelligence. That said, you can't put lipstick on a pig, but I think the current management company has done a reasonable job of trying. They've had 3 exterminators come in the past 2 months (an inital treatment and 2 check-ups), and we've seen 1 or 2 bugs, but nothing I didn't see occasionally see any other place I've lived. I'm just happy they're trying to take care of the problem instead of ignoring it. In my opinion, the property has been cheaply flipped (paint carelessly slapped on, cheap appliances, pergo floors laid a little askew), but I knew that for the price I was paying I wasn't moving in to the Ritz. I chose this complex precisely because the price was great and the on-site management is nice (they're always been helpful to me). Pros: ample parking, clean, neat, reasonably spacious for the price, great closets, nice management, inexpensive place to live, maintenence responds quickly, on sight courtesy officer Cons: finishes are cheap and craftsmanship is lacking,ā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Buying good reviews
On September 17th, there was a note on all the doors around me saying if we left positive reviews on here and told the office what our user name is they would enter us into a drawing for a gift card to a local restaurant. So all the positive reviews posted after that (there aren't any so far) are tainted by a conflict of interest. Here's the real story of this place. They're remodeling all the apartments. It's essentially putting makeup on and calling it a face lift. The cabinet shelves are not secure, they're on pegs like a book case from Wal-Mart. The appliances are OK, nothing special. The carpet is new, but vacuuming pulled it up in one of my rooms. We've had roaches since we moved in. I'm constantly in the office complaining about it. After setting off multiple "roach bombs" in the apartment, I'm STILL finding live ones. We've had mold on the drywall of an exterior wall. Maintenance's solution for that was some bleach-water and paint. We'll see how long that lasts. I don't know if they fixed the source of moisture that caused the mold in the first place. Needless to say, the renovationā¦Ā See More>anonymous

I should have bought a house instead!!!
First off, i pay 800 for a "2" bed townhouse. The second room is like 9x9 and is more of a closet. The contractors did a horrible job! i.e. my appliances weren't installed all the way, you can see waves in the drywall, and there is a strange black stain in the tub. The floors have waves and my carpet wasnt even glued down... i had 29 (i counted lol) nails in the walls, which were supposed to be new but all they did was paint them. some of the lights dont work. my front door is a different color than the other units, and the list goes on. I think the managment kind of cares, but the owners dont give them enough room or money to do anything. The hood of edmond likes to migrate here due to the fact that it is across the street from edmond memorial and their kids can go to an edmond school. due to this it gets a little crazy! Me and my roomie were walking from our cars when a truck went speeding through the parking lot at approx 50-60 mph! My living room ceiling has 3 leaks that flow water intoā¦Ā See More>anonymous

It's a JOKE!
I would not and do not recommend these apartments to anyone. Im not even the type of person that really fills out these review things. I never have before. We didnt get any of the appliances we were told we would be getting or anything at all with the remodeling going on! It sucks! The people in the office are not helpful and seem to not really care about whats going on. Its not really a "family" enviroment, there is nowhere for kids to play. The parking sucks, the neaighbors are loud, the walls are molding and pretty much as well as the bathroom cabinets. NOT GOOD! Sorry to say.

Good for poor person with low standards and no options (college student)
My family is not the wealthiest family in the world so I dont have the luxury of going to school and having mommy and daddy pay for a nice safe and well maintained apartment for me to stay in. In this country, the less money you have, the less options you have. This is how I ended up in "Spring Freak" as my roomates and I call it. Staff is absoulutely worthless, stuff is constantly breaking, and the rodents outnumber the tenants! Our first apt here was near the creek (DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE...EVEN IF YOU MUST LIVE HERE...AT LEAST GET A UNIT AWAY FROM THE CREEK)and the slightest drop in temperature made every living thing in that creek come directly into our apt. As a kid I though ninja turtles was fiction and that characters like master splinter didnt actually exist, But now i'm 23 years old...and after seeing the 50lb rat in the flesh... IM convinced!!! we finally got the management to move us to a different unit but that was only after we loaded up a box of sometheing like 13 baby rats/mice/rodents that we had killed and took them to her apt one evening.ā¦Ā See More>mbehlen

Great value and good management
I've been living here for six months now, and it's an awesome complex. I had the displeasure of seeing a unit before it underwent repairs, and I can understand some of these previous, unfavorable reviews. However, these units have been fixed up under the new owners, and you can hardly tell they're not brand new. You're not going to find these size apartments for cheaper anywhere in Edmond; I looked. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the walls are fairly thin, and I can hear my neighbor's TV or music occasionally. Overall, it's a pretty decent place to live.

August already and scarce improvement...
The only thing going very well at all is the siding project because the contractor rocks. Every time it rains it pours. INSIDE! We are promptly moving out this coming Monday. The owner is clearly out of his mind to fire their first (very efficient) grounds-keeper because the flowers were not weeded well enough. Wtf? At least he cared about getting glass and harmful objects from re-construction off the premises. I understand it takes time to get things in order, but they could have at least moved us on the lower floors to upstairs units. THEN we wouldn't have complained about flooding. The smell is almost un-bearable!

This place sucks now!
This new Camillie person is a nut. She is very rude, She fired one of the best employees they had over nothing, "personal life". I think its sad, I think there is too much construction. Leaks everywhere, alot of my neighbors are moving out at the end of the lease because leslie is gone. When it rains hard you need a boat, raincoat and waders. This place is a dump. They think they're helping it and they aren't. They laid off another good emplyee named christie. Those where 2 of my favorite people to work with. Now I dont know anyone and camillie is rude. I'm breaking my lease asap. I wish they never would have gotten bought out. Atleast the last owners took care of their employees. the office is always locked so when i go to pay my rent there is no door slot. Because their office is based out of an apartment. I know they wont be keeping very many more people. They are racist. And they hate pit bulls. They make all of these promises and never follow through with them. And I dont complain much, only when my a\c goes out whichā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Love it!
I just recently moved in, and I LOVE it!!! I know that this property is pretty old, but with the new management that just bought the property, I know that it will be worth living here in the long run. I really enjoy the neighbors here because they make you feel just as welcome as the office staff do. The maintenance staff are really nice. I KNOW I made the right decision, and reccomend anyone to move in. So far since I've moved in, the management staff have treat me and my family with most respect and open arms of love. Although they do not accept pits here, its still a great place to stay.

jury is still out
I actually just went back and erased my old, unfavorable review. We had many problems when we moved in back in May. However, I feel that they are not helpful to post here since I think they won't occur in the future. We have new owners now. In the short few months they've owned it, they re-rooved the whole place, are installing all new windows and glass doors and I heard they are going to redo the siding and get new appliances. I'm really impressed with the new owners and if all that stuff happens (and rent doesn't go up too much!) I'm definately going to renew my lease. I like being close to almost everything in Edmond and you definately can't beat the sqaure footage. If only they could do something about the thickness of the walls.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new owners really will deliver with their promises.

The choice was yours and yours only
To all these young, immature, uneducated residents. NO ONE twisted your arm to move into a property that is 30 plus years old, NO ONE. You opted to move in here, you can't beat the footage for the price in Edmond. If you did do your "homework" you have no one to blame but yourself. You constantly complain, but yet you knew what you were getting?? Go figure !!!!! Most of you have NO IDEA what is entailed in the purchase of a multi-million dollar project, to use to being taken care of by Mom and Dad, and truly shouldn't have graduated from high school without some idea of how the REAL world operates. Call the Edmond PD if you have such serious problems, they'll take care of ya, or do YOU have something to hide??????????? Don't like it, move............... And now, your bitchin because they are fixing the place up??????????????????? Get a Life and quickly

just one thing after another...
Ever since day one of moving into our apartment, we've had troubles with the place. The day we moved in, our ceiling collapsed in the bathroom because of a leak that *still* hasn't been fixed (they just keep putting up new ceiling) from upstairs. We've had massive roach problems since day one. Here's a "funny" story about that - I used to work nights, so I slept during the day. During one of the days they were supposed to spray for bugs, I heard them come in the front door, and 10 seconds later LEAVE! I'm no exterminator... but it seems like that's a bit fast to kill anything (especially the huge roaches they have here!). Our garbage disposal quit working - 4 weeks later, it's fixed (I suppose I should write them a thank you letter...) Now, our plumbing is backed up, and we can hear rats scurrying around in the walls and ceiling. I do know why the maintainance takes forever to respond to calls though... It's because Spring Creek of Edmond is falling apart. If you're looking here and you think the square footage is awesome for theā¦Ā See More>ptmaestro01

Hell no do not move in
The Spring Creek of Edmond staff is some of the most unprofessional people I have come in contact with. They lack a since of business and the Management lack people skills. The units are constantly having plumbing and/or electric problems, and it takes them forever to attend to them. I would not recommend this place of living for my enemy. You'd be better off homeless! And actually do to the mold that aquired in our specific unit, we did have to immediately move out!

Disappointing
We moved into Spring Creek in May and have had trouble since then. Our first week here our electricity went out in the bathroom and the back room and the air conditioner stopped working. We had to call three times before they came out to fix it and by that time our electric box was smoking. A few weeks later I was taking a shower and when I tried to turn the water off, it just kept coming out. I called the office and they said it was not unusual for Spring Creek. Two days later I called to "remind" them that it was the hot water that was running so we couldn't take showers. They finally came out then. We also have terrible insulation and can hear the people upstairs when they use the toilet. Our back porch is all rotted and there are ants living in the wall. If it was only those things, then I still might recommend Spring Creek because it is in a nice location and the rent is not too bad. However, our worst problem has been with a nasty cockroach infestation. They are all over theā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Spring Creek of Edmond should be condimed!
The management spends money on their office rather than the complex or their raises/bonuses rather than their overworked, disrespected, and poorly paid employees. This complex has been here around 30 years and has not been remodled at all and is hardly up to code. The upsatirs units have windows within a foot of the floor, one child has fallen from one of these windows. I have been forced to attach chicken wire inside my windows for my two year old because the window gards you can buy are too large for the window width. The apartments are of generous size and natural lighting from the many windows in each unit, however, all windows are single pane. In my upstairs, 1,300sf, three bedroom apartment there are 11 single pane windows, last summer my electric bill was almost $300 every month. When it rains I know of 20 downstairs units that consistantly flood. My apartment has a bad leak over the sliding door, one on the roof leaking into heat/air closet and on down in the unit below. My toilet is always running, my tub won't shut off and will fill up within 12 hours if kept pluged. My sink leaks intoā¦Ā See More>anonymous

It's Called A Bulldozer...Use It!
I've lived in various apartment complexes for five years now. I have never had to pay so much for so little. The apartments look horrible on the inside, sure they're spacious but I had holes in my walls, inside and on the outside. I called in a maintenance issue in January (The pipes of the apartment above me had busted and everytime they took a shower, it rained inside my apartment and my A/C -Heat unit went out.) No one fixed anything, I called again in Feb., no one fixed anything, I called again in March. Finally after 3 months and me having to buy a new washer & dryer because they were ruined from the flooding, someone came and fixed my apartment. Never got a returned phone call any of the times I called. I even tried to get some rent taken off since I was out money for replacing things ruined in the floods, and they still made me pay the full rent. I had neighbors above me with dogs and kids and lord knows what else. They would run from one end of the apartment to the otherā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Don't Rent
I've lived in my apartment for 7 months. In those short few months my apartment has flooded 3 times from the main bathroom and once from the water heater from the people that live above me. When I asked them to come fix the water in the halls and stop the leaking all they did was cut the carpet up and take out the carpet pad from under the wet parts. They didn't replace it and left carpet nail exposed. And when I asked them to fix it, they did nothing. There is mold on the walls from the water heater leak and they won't do anything about it and I had to go to the department of health to get it fixed. There is never a place to park because all the kids attending the college parties take the close spaces. I have to walk in the dark down alleys to get to my apartment. (I'm a police officer and I still don't feel safe) It is always loud and they don't do anything about it. There are alway a million kids hanging around the complex causing nothing but trouble. They sit on my car. And they mix theā¦Ā See More>anonymous

Good and Bad
I had a three bedroom here and had two floors to my apartment and it was a really nice floor plan. The management was not too bad. They were understandable about most stuff and the younger girl in the office is probably one of the hottest girls I have ever seen. Maintinence always came out when requested but didn't always fix from 100%. Kids keyed my car but i didn't see it so nothing could be done about it. I was the college kid throwing all the parties that these people keep talking about but it never got too late and we always turned it down after midnight. I did however get noise complaints from my stupid neighbors at 4:30 in the afternoon because they said my tv was on too loud. Anyways for what you pay it is definately worth it IF you get apartment in the front of the complex. Don't go to the back its run down. Pick a good roomate because if stuff does go wrong you are not gonna want to deal with more problems from them. Like i said you get what you payā¦Ā See More>anonymous

it's ok, i've lived in worse...
Spring Creek so I heard was trying to sell their property but was unsuccessful due to the fact that it would cost so much for all the repairs as well as the buying part. I got a good apt. Now I'm not sure what the rest of them look like but I had to put a months deposit down on mine so no one else could snatch it up...new carpet, new counters in the bathroom, new paint. Of course the AC did have some trouble at first but repairs aren't that bad to wait for. It is a little wierd that they go into your apt while you're gone...but anyways I agree it's a little expensive for what you get...but hopefully I'm going to be moving out here when my lease is up..I hate living with a roommate...there are LOTS AND LOTS of kids running around everywhere! Parking is crazy, sometimes depending on what time i get home i have to walk quite a ways from where i get a parking spot to my apt. I know nieghbors vary but the people upstairs are HORRIBLE!

the prices might be a little high for what your reall getting but they are usually pretty nice apartments they are in a nice location right across from the school, which I can admit that getting out of there gets pretty difficult but other than that if you a new adult of teen or still in your college days then spring creek is for you there are always tons of partys and you can make alot of friends however there isnt a lot of noise like everyone says so yeah...to all the people out there ya'll are just haters<br>

These apartments are REALLY BAD.. The AC is broken after calling and going in to the office 10 times they came out and told me nothing was wrong with it but its 100 in my house.. Its cooling outside then in my apartment.. They keep telling me nothing is wrong with it. After calling some more they came and put boards on some of my windows and gave me rolls of plastic to fix it. Its not fixed I have 3 kids.. I did not know this when I moved in. They dont fix anything and the MNG at the office is not very nice. She really does not care about your problems or that your apartment is 100 degrees.. I cant use my dryer or stove because it makes the heat even worse.. Please dont move here its a really bad place to live.. As soon as my lease is up im moving out. They also had the nerve to tell me to buy window units for my apartment.. Are they stupid I have Central air and a 400 electric bill because it never shuts off and still does not work..
