The apartment is fine. Though the kitchen layout leaves much to be desired (ie. a single drawer and the dishwasher located directly in the way of the sink). The expense is the location of being in Edmond, that's really what you are paying so much for.
The office manager is unprofessional and drags their feet on concerns. I always get the impression I'm being a bother when I have to contact the office. I once was told that she needed a few days to read the lease because "It is really long" when I raised a concern for direct violation happening. I spent the first several months with a broken window seal that caused mildew smell. Though I reported upon moving in, the work order was closed without me being notified, and every possible excuse was given for why they shouldn't have to replace the window when I followed up. This has since been remedied, but was handled with a level of unprofessionalism that was shocking.
My neighbor has reported to me that her apartment has had two attempted break ins in the last few months, one where a group of men tried to enter the home under guise of being Spring Creek maintenance workers. The neighbor also me know that an another community member is now sending them inappropriate messages about their daily appearance and was warned to "watch out". Being a single woman in the apartment, I'm shocked that I was not notified by the office about possible break ins happening 3 feet from my own door.
I will be seeking alternative housing at the soonest possible opportunity.
