Overall, the experience living at Village Square has been a pleasant one. I live in one of the older, not updated units (cheaper rent!) and if you don't require a fancy kitchen and bathroom, it's not a terrible unit at all. The washer/dryer in unit is AMAZING. There is also a lot of space for a one bedroom apartment - the bedroom is large, the added den space is perfect for an office space or to put a vanity to get ready in the morning (the bathroom is small and has 0 counter space, so it's not ideal). The community itself is great - there are always events going on at the clubhouse. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly when I've had an issue. Maintenance requests are taken care of pretty promptly - we've definitely had some random issues here and there and it's always been attended to within 24 hours of placing the request. A new management company took over partway through our first year lease and rent prices have gone up on the website. I'm hoping our rent doesn't increase too significantly. I think what we pay is fair to what we're getting, but the non-updated units aren't worth *that* much of an increase in the base rent.
