Our water lines have been frozen a couple of times during the winter and we have to keep the water running overnight when it's freezing outside. We were shown a unit with a medicine cabinet but during move-in found out only some units have them. The drain for the clothes washer backs up for the upstairs unit and occasionally causes water to spill in the downstairs. There are single pane windows in the living room and the closet and you can feel the chill during the winter. The two outside doors are not level and can require some force to open and close them. The outside door for the apartment feels like the key is going to twist off unless you pull the door with the other hand awhile unlocking the door. The steps for the upstairs apartments are fairly steep. A couple of cabinet doors along with the fridge door were hung on the wrong side (this is less Village's fault and more on the contractor). Can be noisy, mostly depending on your neighbor. Grounds are fairly clean. Trash is almost always clean/picked up. Office staff is genuinely happy and helpful. Met two maintenance staff so far, one during move-in was very friendly and helpful. The other has stopped by a couple of times and is direct but courteous. Neither of them dilly-dallied around. Never had an issue finding a parking spot, but may have to walk a little. The immediate area feels safe but cameras in the common area and parking lot would be nice to have for peace of mind.
