This apartment is fantastic! The location is ideal, with easy access to shops and public transport. The building is well-maintained, management is responsive, and the neighbors are friendly. Great amenities and spacious units!

Its a good place to live. It's better than any other place I lived. Good amenities, affordable for the area, good sized living space, and staff is great. It is rare that there are any issues, and if one comes up, they address it very quickly.

I am suffering from wall-knocking noise by neighbor, feeling threatened of living right, if I move to another room, I have to pay for $500 which is unreasonable. I am feeling restriction of my daily use of apartment. feeling so bad :(

Maintenance team is nice and hardworking but the property owners are too greedy to hire a large enough team. Major HVAC issues likely to the point of being illegal (my heat was out for over 1 month in January/February). Front desk attendants are nice and mostly there when you need them, but the leasing office has a few communications issues (didn't send me the correct papers until it was almost too late, even though I informed them I did not have all of the papers I needed for my leasing agreement). During lease renewal they baked an automatic rent increase into the contract (for future renewals), which it is already not worth the current rate given these issues. The walls are pretty thin but not a major issue, the community seems mostly quiet and respectful. Otherwise the property is nice, it would be a good place to live if they could guarantee livable conditions

Management and Maintenance has not been consistent over the years. Sometimes great; sometimes disastrous. Experience and training of the management staff is key. Josh for example was a very seasoned, great manager. Others have not been. Maintenance in particular has been very weak at times especially when it comes to the HVAC system. It has definitely improved recently. Thomas is a treasure - don't lose him. The addition of Paul is a good sign. Tyler is a cherry kind, helpful person. John is the Garage Vaklet group is spectacular whereas most of the new young, untrained valets need a lot of help understanding the SOP.

Unit is beautiful with huge windows and nice appliances. Maintenance and desk staff are just lovely. Other residents mostly friendly. The little dog park is such a plus for me, and the location is perfect for getting to anywhere in town.

Front desk people are super nice and welcoming. Maintenance is sometimes hard to track down. Leasing office is terrible, and just do not even acknowledge you as a human the second you sign your lease. They are also just rude when they’re called out on the fact they they’re not treating a tenant correctly. It’s very upsetting.

I have enjoyed living downtown and in a historical building. They added a small dog park that has been super helpful. Uber and delivery services are difficult because the building isn't easy to get to.

This is a great apartment close to everything. The staff are extremely courteous and I feel I can bring anything to their attention and it is resolved quickly. The building is well maintained and has all the amenities anyone would need.

Everyone is extremely friendly and nice. Love living downtown. The front desk staff go above and beyond for you. The dog park is great if you have a dog. The elevators come very quickly also. Maintenance and the management office handle everything very professionally. Great place to live.

Slow Maintenance is really the only difficult part of living here. Every time I submit a request it takes over a week to get someone to come and usually they don’t even fix the issue unless. It’s very frustrating

Avoid At All Costs
The management company was extremely unresponsive to numerous requests to address water damage in the apartment. This went unaddressed for months and progressed to the point where the ceiling was caving in and pieces of drywall were falling down. When at last they had a maintenance worker assess the damage they turned off the water and power without telling me and left my apartment unlocked. This happened 3 times in one week all without any actual progress made to repair the damage or even resolve active water leakage. The management was impossible to reach and never returned any messages left with the administrative assistant in the office. When I moved out early they attempted to charge me a break lease fee and utilities and rent for the month the apartment was uninhabitable. I told them these were undue charges and I would like to discuss further and they never reached out. Now, 18 months later, they are demanding that I pay them more than $2000 in fees despite the fact that I never received notice from them in the last 18 months. The apartment is clean and well taken care of with beautiful, modern units and great views. It is also a great location with plenty of walkable stores and restaurants. I would definitely recommend the complex.

Don't move in. They unlock the door and secretly enter your apartment
TLDR: If you don't want strangers to unlock the door and secretly enter your apartment while you are not at home, DON'T MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT. I am not joking. The management people from Greystar don't give a ---- about your privacy and security. What happened: This June, a significant water leak occurred from the bathroom ceiling, so I submitted a service ticket to the management company. About three days later, around midnight, a janitor knocked on my door for repairs. It seemed that the issue was with the air conditioner, so he only sealed the leakage with tape and left without fixing the water-damaged ceiling and wallpaper. At this point, I thought it's very inappropriate for them to come for repairs at midnight, but since the water leak had stopped, I didn't complain. The service ticket was then left untouched for over a month. One day, I got home from work and noticed that some of my stuff in my apartment had been moved from their original places. The Pennsylvanian is the premier downtown Pittsburgh apartment complex. The building has wonderful history which is celebrated by everyone that works there. The location is ideal, the amenities are lovely, and the staff is helpful and kind. This is the best apartment building I have ever resided at.

Horrible! I have had no air conditioning since June. I have submitted 5 maintenance requests and NOBODY has responded. There has been NO attempt to repair the issue or even communicate with me. I have submitted 2 emails to the building "maintenance team" and still NOBODY has responded. RIDICULOUS. Horrible management!

Poor. Staff will retaliate against you for any maintenance request. Then take pictures of your apartment and give you lease violations for making them preform maintenance. If you have any issues with any apartment call 311 it will direct you to your local housing authority.

It has been very nice and not noisy. I love the kitchen space and the in unit washer dryer combo has been very helpful! Walkable to many wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. This is a wonderful place for walkability

The Pennsylvanian has beautiful grounds and a wonderful gym. There is helpful security and valet, and the units themselves are very nice and spacious. There’s also a very helpful area with snacks if you’re in a pinch.

Average at best. The parking garage staff is exceptional. However, my maintenance requests are never fulfilled. I leave feedback on surveys like this and when I am called to ask if my maintenance requests were fulfilled.-- I always say no, but there is never any followup. My laundry room door is hanging off the hinge, my kitchen sink does not drain properly and my dishwasher is not working. I'm moving.
