Decorating your apartment with silk plants and trees can prove to be a wiser decision than using real plants and trees. Take a few moments to consider the benefits of opting for silk flora.
The most obvious benefit of decorating with silk plants and trees is they require no watering or pruning. The most maintenance a silk plant may require is a dusting from time to time. Use a lightweight cloth to do so. Avoid using a misting spray of water to dust as you may with other faux plants and trees because water can stain silk.
Not only do silk plants and trees require next to no maintenance, they’re always as beautiful as they were the day you bought them. You don’t have to enjoy blooms during a fixed time and replace the plant when it dies. Trees don’t droop or grow too big for your apartment.
Pets – especially cats – like to chew plants, even if they’re fake. Some real plants can be poisonous to a pet if ingested. If you’re not able to monitor your pets at all times, you should not have potentially poisonous plants in your apartment. These plants include lilies, caladiums, poinsettias and rhubarbs.
Pets are also attracted to fake plants because they like chewing on hard bits of plastic. Swallowing fake plants can cause intestinal damage. If you opt for silk plants and trees instead, the material is less attractive to your pets. However, be aware that some animals may still be interested in chewing on silk, so place the plants and trees out of their reach to be safe.
