Choosing the right bed style is the arguably the most important aspect of bedroom decorating. Your bedroom is where you’ll retreat to sleep or rest, and having the perfect bed for you can help tremendously. There are many bed styles, and what you select depends on your budget and space. Day beds work like futon beds, but they’re more sturdy. It doubles up as a sofa and bed, which saves you space in your bedroom. Day beds don’t have to be tiny. You can find ones that are king-sized. They work well for guests too, and can be used for seating in the living room.

Canopy Bed

If you’re going for luxury, then a higher-end bed style to choose is a canopy bed. There’s usually a top enclosure for you to drape fabric of your choice around it. You can buy contemporary and classic style canopy beds to fit your bedroom decorating needs. They come in a variety of finishes, such as metal or wood, and can make a room look exotic based on the finish, fabric and materials you use.
