Lacrosse estates was our home for years
We lived her for years. The pool was great and the park came in handy for holidays. It was nice to see neighbors and I like having a heated hallway as well. We needed a three bedroom and lacrosse accommodation gave us that. The apartment was very lovely. With some added comforts we made just that, a home for our children. Can’t complain about the noise bc we all live our lives and not everyone lives in silence . We put our own touches on the home and made it a nice home. The management was doing a great job. Yeah it has a bad rep but not everyone has that opinion and I’m one of them. I don’t see back lashing a place that’s trying to be better for everyone. I see them correcting a lot and improving.

Worse place to live!
Lives here a year , worse place I’ve ever rented! They kept adding more to my rent, not only that the neighbors continue to throw party’s and get drunk then scream at each other in the hallways in the middle of the night , cars kept getting broken into , let’s not forgot residents rob each others packages, my clothes got stolen multiple times in the laundry room , when reported the management wouldn’t do a thing ! Please don’t live here! They are getting sued for a reason, sole buildings haven’t had hot water in months let’s not forgot they didn’t have heat during the winter months! I had to buy my own heater and leave the oven on, my neighbor also threatened me with a knife with I reported him for beating up his girl, worse place ever!

I lived here for a 6 months and when I first moved in the carpet smelled like dog pissed and ----. I brought it up to the landlord and it took them two months to have the carpet replaced. The bathroom tub would leak down to my neignbors place and the dish washer almost flooded the kitchen. The walls and floor are so thin me and my boyfriend can hear kids running around at all hours of the and when we would make any noise the neighbors below would bang on the ceiling. With all these issues you would think the rent would be lower but no the landlords dont tell you any of this when you do your walk through or when you sign the lease. When I left I made sure everything was clean including countertop surfaces and walls floors and what not. But them lying --- ------- lied and said we left the place flithy. I been seeing all these posts saying they accept section 8 well when we struggled to make rent I went to the Pennington county office and they were willing to help but the ------- at the office will not accept the voucher. So if you dont mind kids running around and dog piss and ---- smells and rude people than this is your home otherwise this property should be shut down its not worth 900 to 1000 a month.

The apartments accepts section 8 which can be a bad thing. The reason is people on sec 8 have kids and work little hours and are up at all hours of the night , so the people below then barely get any sleep. If you have kids that run around, they need to be limited to the first floor.

Complaints about my dog barking all night by people living in buildings that pets are allowed is just ridiculous !! I live alone on the first floor so people walk thru parking lot on their way to Walmart all night and if my dog barks to wake and warn me of a possible dangerous situation , I get complaint calls from management . People are liars and they let them lodge complaints against dog owners with no proof! I'm getting out of here ASAP!! I'm tired of being harassed and discriminated against !!

I have no credit so I had a huge deposit. If we had any problems the staff worked hard to correct them. Garages can be a nightmare to get close to your place. Laundry is busy a lot. Would live there again. Be prepared if you have no credit that they are going to charge double your monthly rent. Have not received our deposit back yet. Will let you know. They said everything in the apartment was great except the carpet, which had stains when we moved in. We will see...

If you enjoy people sitting in your foyer on your stairs doing drugs then this is the place for you! I'm not sure how many times in the last year I have threatened to call the police on these people (who are all different) but I have had it! Not only that but they also take at least two months to fix ANYTHING in your apartment! They don't warn before when they are planning maintenance either. I was out of town when they "fixed" the parking lot and they had to tow my truck out of my spot. Had I known I wouldn't have parked where I did! Also there is no privacy between rooms and apartments. I can hear everything my roommate does and my neighbors. Do not move here! Worst apartment I have ever lived in.

when paying your rent office staff is nice but when say a tree on their property falls on your car they will give you a saw and hide behind "it's and act of god" and say we will not take any responsibility take care of it on your own just pay your deductible and your insurance will take care of you

If you are looking for a great price with a great view, and friendly people! Than this is the place for you! The office staff is more than just "Staff" They are friends with the residents! The parking spaces are great. There is always somewhere to park that is close to your building. The noise is never a problem. There has only been one insident that I can recall that there has been anything that has regarded the police, and that insident was only because of a bad relationship problem. The buildings are nice for how old they really are. The appliences work great. If you ever have any problems you can call the on call maitenance or security. It's a safe place to live with friendly folk! I would happly refer friends or family!

Do not live here,
I recently moved from here, finally! This was the worst place I have ever lived in the way of apartments. Although not your neighbors fault, if you live below somebody you can here every step they make. Most neighbors around you blare their music at all hours of the day, not to leave out the parties and loud music from the cars. It seems as if this is more of a frat house than a place to call home!!People let there children run all through the hall ways, that you can here through your door. You cannot put your bed next to the walls because you can here the neighbors opening and closing there cupboards. Whenever someone above you flushes their toilet yours will run as well. There were times when I had to sleep around my neighbors schedule because they were so loud and the many calls to the office...did nothing, there security at night is a joke. I do not recommend living here if you have children as I have seen police in some of the other buildings many times! There is always trash in the hallways and on the steps into the apartments! I have to clean my toilets every day otherwise they start to grow black mold! Although they have a cleaning crew for the grounds, there is always trash every where. This is not a good living environment and was the worst place I have ever lived!!! It is not worth what you pay,.

LaCrosse Estates is a great place to live, When I first got here the staff was very friedly and making sure that if I need anything to give them a call and they will take care of it. The security is great, I have never felt so safe in an apartment before. I pay 729.00 and I think that is a very competive price with all the amenities it incudes. When my husband and I were looking for apartments - were just fell in love with this place, it is also in a central location. The layouts are beautiful and affordable. I cant imagine living elsewhere.

I hated living here!!!!!
I only lived here for a yr and signed a lease for $629 then they decided to raise the rent after I signed the lease $20 more. Since I didn't wanna sign another lease to live there another 6months or a year, they charged me a extra $20 to live there. I lived on the top floor, my heater never worked that good and when I would call they would look at it and pretty much say there is nothing wrong with it. Lacrosse Esates is not affortable at all. They are way to greedy and will never went from them again. I don't recommend at all.

Small, clean, affordable, convenient
While I've lived here only about 4 months, I think it's a long enough time for a reasonable review. While not all tenants are considerate about blaring their sound systems from their cars at night, it's not a common occurrence, and I hear the train (track run not far behind the complex) more frequently than I hear the sound systems. The train is just something to get used to, and I did. Being pregnant, it still wakes me up, anyways, along with a kicking baby. Being on the top floor, I can get a view, though distant, of the Brontosaurus from Dinosaur Park in downtown Rapid City. We're right by Sam's Club (though it's moving about a mile away in the near future), Wal-mart, Target - the mall is even walking distance at about a mile away. Not all apartments come with a dishwasher, and that's fine by me. The only major inconvenience is none of the apartments have the ability or permission to have washer/dryer hook ups. You have to rely on either a friend, or the laundry card they give you, that you can load at the office. (Only during office hours can it be loaded - the only machine to load your laundry card is at the office.) The washers/dryers are $1.25 each cycle, which is not terrible, unless you get a dryer that doesn't dry completely, and then it becomes a hassle, especially since there are 4 washers, and 6 dryers. (Who does that?) The balconies are sturdy, but wear and tear is definitely there, and warping of the wood. I would certainly recommend repairs or something done to make the balconies look nicer, but I am not worried about it just yet. I still enjoy my balcony. Another slight inconvenience, especially if you have a multi-bedroom apartment during the warmer months, is there is only one wall unit in the living area to cool the apartment down. If you want to stay cool and have privacy, you're on your own unless you want to open your window and hope the winds re not heavy enough to blow stuff around your room. It is South Dakota, we have a lot of wind, so again - not complaining - just pointing out some facts. No pantry. This annoys me. My husband and I bought a really nice cabinet set from a friend of his - and, yes, I am using it for a "pantry" of sorts at the moment, but it won't stay that way forever. Being military, we won't be here forever, and that's certainly something I hope his friend never has to see. I make do with what I have, and always make the best of any situation. I am enjoying my stay at Lacrosse Estates, and while no apartment complex is perfect - this is certainly far from the worst, especially being a much older property than I have ever lived in.
