I really enjoy living in this MAA location. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I ever have repairs in my unit the maintenance staff deal with the issue in a timely manner. I was concerned though with the response to the snow storm this year. I fell at the mail boxes , since I believed the condition of the walkways and public areas were treated with salt and snow removed. Since I received an email indicating such. I know this is a huge complex, I believe that the management where not prepared for such weather. I bought a shovel and sand and tried my best to make the steps, walkways safe for the tenants on my floor. My neighbour has a disability and wanted to make sure he would not injure himself. As well there are a number of tenants that are not used to the icy conditions , it was very treacherous for everyone. I grew up in Canada and am fully aware of keeping public areas clear and safe for all. I would suggest that the complex have salt on hand for an emergency.Stored with other material for emergencies. Suggest a budget be in place for the purchase of items that can cover the entire complex. When shoveling a maintenance staff came by and thru two hand fulls of salt on walkway. This to me did nothing. Also the snow removable plowed the lot , in such a way that it trapped all vehicles in the parking lot. Pushed the snow up against the back end of the vehicles.
