I have been living in apartments for practically my whole life, even when I still lived with my parents, so I know what I am talking about when judging apartments. Saying that let me tell you, this is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. I lived in apartment 612-2 (phase 2, the side with the front office) which is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. The problems began as soon as we moved in. The stove didn't work right from day 1. Why they didn't notice this when the unit was prepared prior to me moving in I don't know, but it wasn't. It took over 2 months and 6 calls to the office before they finally replaced the entire stove/oven unit (which they promised they would do after the 1st call didn't resolve it). After that it was problem after problem. Leaky AC unit that didn't cool the living room right in the summer nor heat the living room properly in the winter. Garbage disposal and dishwasher were shoddy at best. The water connection for the washer was leaky (they actually fixed that right the first time though). Extremely noisy neighbors that didn't know how to turn down their stereo even at 4 AM when I had to work early the next morning. Multiple times (more than 10) I have had to call the cops due to various reasons including after hours noise, gun shots, and general disruptive behavior of other residents. The front door wasn't insulated right and is facing the parking lot so every car that drove by (no matter how quiet) I could hear in my living room causing me to have to turn up the TV or whatever I was doing louder than I normally would. There was apparently someone shot and killed in this complex too back in 2010. It was on channel 5 news. Also, everytime when I would have maintenance over they would leave a huge mess on the floor and refuse to clean it up. They also broke several dishes in the kitchen one time when he came to fix the dishwasher. If that wasn't bad enough the staff at the front office is horrndous. Every time I complain they acted like they didn't care about what I had issues with. Even when I finally told them I was going to move out and why they just shrugged their shoulders and shooed me out of the office so they could help the next guest. Yet they made me wait 30 minutes because of a guy who was signing his lease for the first time. This complex only cares about your money, not you. DON'T EVER LIVE HERE. This is by far the worst complex that I have ever lived in. Ok, now that I have said the negatives let me put in what I liked about this complex: Abundant parking, the location is awesome (really close to 360 and within a 10 minute driving distance to just about anything in Arlington), the rent is affordable on almost any budget (gee, I wonder why?), and the layout is attractive inside the apartments. They were also recently renovated (like 4 years ago or so according to the front office).
