New management is horrible

We lived at Talavera for two years. When we moved in, the office personnel were great. Super friendly and efficient (especially Kris - loved her!). Then for the last six months or so that we lived there we had really incompetent management. They gave us our renewal notice the day of our deadline (the law says you have to have at least five days before that), not to mention our renewal rate was $200 more than what a new renter would pay. When we moved out they tried to charge us $100 for cleaning, even though I scrubbed the apartment down including tops of fans and kitchen cabinets. When my fiance tried to argue it they said they would ask the cleaning crew and call us back. Never heard from them until we got a letter yesterday reminding us to pay and to call them about arrangements. Then today we got a call from a collections agency demanding we pay within the hour. And now we cannot get ahold of anyone at Talavera. I LOVED the people in the office when we moved in, but the new ones are incredibly incompetent even if they are friendly. The people moving in now are super trashy too. Our stairs were covered in tobacco spit stains, people left trash in the hallways for weeks at a time, and the ground was littered in cigarette butts and beer caps. And this was all in the building right next to the clubhouse in which a model unit is located. Would not recommend this place to anyone anymore.
