Nice, Small Community - Love It!
I've been living at Talavera for quite some time now and I have seen a few minor changes in office staff. I have been nothing but happy with my home and life here. The office staff is very friendly and willing to work with us whenever we need it. Many people on here seem to have criticism in regards to the staff. I have witnessed the staff be very direct at times, but in those situations I have been proud of them for doing so. As I sit in the next room waiting to discuss a lease transfer, there are people making difficulties and arguing with the staff or otherwise being difficult and the staff stands up for themselves. I am proud to live in a place where polite people are treated politely and rude people do not manipulate our office staff. The floorplans of the apartments here are outstanding. I've been through many apartments here (I've lived in 3 different floorplans!) and I can honestly say that these apartments can fit any need of a family. The maintenance staff here has had some ups and downs, but as of the time of this writing Jerry is the maintenance manager and he is simply outstanding. Service requests are handled promptly and effectively, and the maintenance staff will also provide insight, reasoning, and preventative education to those willing to listen. Pest control comes by (with request) every week and it is very effective. The pest control contractors are also knowledgeable and will provide safety tips in regards to the spray they use as well as things to do as a resident to help yourself. This type of proactive, awesome service is something that is hard to find at bigger complexes. Talavera's small size (only 12 small buildings) is one of its biggest blessings. The property is very pet friendly, pets are even encouraged, and there are several dog walking areas (with bag dispensers). Honestly, my biggest criticism of these apartments is with other tenants. There are people who have obnoxious late parties (without giving a polite written notice to neighbors), and there are people who treat others poorly. Many people do not pick up after their dogs, and when the office staff catches them, those people are charged fees. I think this is fantastic!7/11/2011
