Never, ever move here. This apartment complex sucks. This review is long, but if you own PETS or are considering living here then it is worth the read! The company we moved in under was amazing. This new management company has brought the entire complex down. To begin with, they will not let you use the gym 24 hours, even though they advertise it as a 24 hour facility. While my fiance and I still lived at the complex, there was a huge feral cat problem. They sent us several emails that were very unprofessional and somewhat threatening. After a few months of hundreds of feral cats, the apartment called the Austin ASPCA. However, at that time we had already started moving out. About two months later we received a bill for moving out. An almost $400 bill, which included $75 for a remote gate key we never had or signed for. The other charges on the bill were ridiculous. For example, we moved out at the end of April, but they sent us the electric bill for February/March. They have three bills they can legally choose from, and they always pick the most expensive. Also, they charged us for one day of rent when we turned in our keys the morning after move out. I've done this for every apartment I have ever lived in, but they wanted us to drop it in the midnight drop box that we had no clue existed. Plus, THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS NOT PET FRIENDLY. They charged us $125 for a "pet slab treatment." Yes, even though we paid an $800 pet fee at move in and $20 a month for our pets for a total of $1,040 for our two dogs, we still had to pay a fee for them to remove the carpets, clean the cement UNDER the carpets, and replace the old carpet. ??? Confused? We were too. Oh, but this was only after we were able to get a hold of them. We called when we opened the bill, which was on a Sunday. Their office is open on Sundays. However, we were continually transferred to an answering service. The answering service had no clue why the office was not open and had no other number we could call. We finally had to ask a friend to go by the apartment. They closed the office with no prior notice. It was not a holiday. Finally, we were able to contact their office. They were unwilling to budge and acted like taking the non-existent gate key off our bill was a favor. We continually asked to speak with a manager and were told repeatedly one would call us back. It never happened. Furthermore, we were told they would send us a corrected bill that we would have 45 days to pay. It never happened. Now, we received a call from one of our references. He has been getting harassed multiple times daily by a collection company. It has not even been 45 days since the original bill was sent. Never once were we, the actual lease holders, contacted by this company. Overall, this has been the rudest apartment complex ever. I would not recommend leasing at this apartment. They seem like they have great deals; however, their apartments are just not worth it. They slam you with every cost possible and report you to collections before the due dates are even past. DO NOT live here.
