Poor Customer relations

I had a lease with this apartment who I found out later had a sex offender who has been accused of kidnapping a little 9 year old living right upstairs from us. Iwas told that a thorough background was conducted on all tenants. Well if that is so then this guy would have been found out as he used his real name and should not have been living here with us. In addition, I was contacted by management and they informed me that they had someone to move into my apartment beacuse I had cleaned it already and THEY WANTED TO DO ME A FAVOR not get a new lease started for themselves. There new tenant decided not to move in so they came back after me for the $175.00 which I explained that I should not have to pay because they made an agreemnet with me. They explained to me that there agreement was in writing. My vehicle was broken into in the parking lot, the window was broken and all I was told is that its not our responsibility. I was only trying to let them know so they might request addittional police patrols. I am paying them the money but I would never recommend that anyone stay at this apartment complex. They are cosmetically trying to make it look nice but morally I think they are lacking. I am a retired marine and believe that whe someone tells you they are doing something that they should stand by there word.
