I have lived here for a few months, and I'd like to say that for the most part I really like it.
The neighborhood is very conveniently located, and neighbors are quiet, parking is always available, and the upkeep of the grounds is very nice. They pretty much allow all pets. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
These buildings are old, and have old building problems, but in general everything works the way it's supposed to. I live on the third floor, and have so far never seen a single bug. Whenever we have small maintenance issues, they show up almost immediately and get it fixed the first time. The only real annoyance is how hard it is to get an office person on the phone. Most of the time when you call they send you to an offsite call service, which would be fine is they ever actually replied to you. Also the valet trash service is non-optional and totally useless. If you have trash on a day they don't come to your door, then you have to keep it outside your door or walk it down yourself, which would be fine if you weren't already paying to have it done for you. And at $25 a month, each year long lease you're paying $300 for something you can't opt out of. The only other negative thing worth mentioning is that the apartment doesn't really get a lot of light, and the bathroom is incredibly dingy and claustrophobic. If you enjoy sunlight in the house, this is not the place for you.
Overall this is a good place to live if you want to enjoy the quiet, and be seconds away from two major shopping centers. Yes, there are occasional hiccups. But I've never lived in an apartment complex where there was absolutely nothing negative. I would recommend my friends to live here.
