I hate that people only review apartments when they have something negative to say. I'm moving to the north side of town in order to be closer to my new job. It's been difficult to find apartments when all the reviews are either negative or obviously written by the apartment manager. I figured I better add to the list of reviews my thoughts, so that some one else has a the chance to get a better picture of this place.
I've lived here for 2 years so far, and I would have renewed if it weren't for the aforementioned job. Overall, I've had a great experience. There is a good mix of people living here - young college types, families, and single tenants. I met my best friend at the pool, who happens to live across the hall from me too, and I wouldn't even know her if it weren't for this place. I love it at the pool - it's always well maintained, the furniture is nice, and the people that hang out there are respectful. My BFF and have BBQs at the grill by the pool at least twice a month.
My apartment is nice - I love the new carpet that came with it, it's not that crappy hard brown stuff in most places, it's really soft. I have updated appliances too, and they work great and look nice. It's such a relief to have washer/dryer hookups! My last place didn't have them and I had to use the laundry mat down the street which is such a nuisance.
Maintenance is great - When I first moved in I couldn't get my washer and dryer hooked up right and I called them to ask if they had any tips - they came right over and just hooked it up for me! Even gave me the part I needed so I didn't have to run out to the store. I've had to call them only one other time since I've been here and the service was just as good.
I also love the dog park here. This complex is one of the few places I've been able to find that I like that will accept my pup (he's a big lab.) I take him for walks around the neighborhood, and at the city park right next to the complex, but it's nice to have a close, safe place where I can just let him run around for a bit when I get home from work and don't feel like going on a long walk.
