Great Apartments, Hidden Fees, New Management (Colonial Grand) Fails

Moved in about a month ago. Wonderful apartment --clean, fairly new and bug free! Management is disorganized and tend to throw out conflicting information. On top of the rent they advertise, there is a $30 monthly fee to pick up trash. Their system is nice (they supply a can to place outside of your door), but they fail to show up most of the time. My trash piled up before one random night they decided to come by. THERE IS NO WI-FI OR FUNCTIONING "BUSINESS CENTER" AS ADVERTISED. When I moved in, I was told they were in between internet service providers and should be up & running in a couple of weeks. Five weeks later, no internet. In fact, they decided to shut down their "business center" all together. Kind of irritating because this could have been a major deal breaker and I would have gone with IMT Wells Branch (down the street). I generally liked these apartments better and the fact that they are new, but they had wi-fi available at both of their 2 pools. I feel jipped every time I drive by there now :( I get the feeling that this place is so nice because: a.) It's brand new, which place isn't amazing when it's new? b.) Verde Park's management was on point, as it is really starting to show signs of wear/tear w/this new company coming in In general, the apartments are really nice. Gym is small, but clean (except for the fact that there are no paper towels, sprays to wipe down sweat, and other sanitary basics to ensure a safe environment). Pool is a joke compared to others in the area. Just be forwarned of hidden (trash) fees, ill-advised staff, and a manager who has to be managed. It can seem rather loud, as I noticed many families live here (but not at obscure hours or anything, just your usual daily ramblings of living in a community). Also, the traffic on 35 can become apparent at times. Their maintenance guys are awesome--responsive, friendly, and efficient!
