Just moved in. Well kept, quiet so far, quick to respond to requests

I just moved in here, so my review could possibly change later. Here's my first impressions. Bugs and furry critters: I'm on the second floor and no bug problems yet. I had read reviews and talked to others who lived here and took the advice to not live on the first floor where bug problems are worse. Although I don't like bugs, I do like living amongst so many trees and with a trail nearby, so it's a bit of a give-and-take situation. Can't have that setting without bugs and other furry critters. I have the additional strain of having my large dog who likes to chase furry critters, but he'll get used to it after a while. Office staff/mainteance requests: I've had 3 minimal requests so far that were taken care of within 5 hours or immediately. Garage remote and slow leak faucet were taken care of in less than 5 hours of making the request. The third request was my fault but yet they took care of it within 15 minutes. (I was using a personal small key for the mailbox. They didn't question it, just gave me 2 new keys.) Painting/inside quality: The painting seems fine to me. Yes, there's one place in my apartment where it looks like they could have done a little better job patching up a place where some hardware had been before, but it's not that bad. And, yes, the place is a little cheap on the fixtures, old appliances, etc, but, from what I've seen, at this rent rate, it's the same at many other places unless it's a brand new facility. If you are picky about those things, you have to pay a little more or go further north to get nicer quality. Parking: It looks like parking can be more difficult on the back side by the more woodsy area. If you look at the buildings, you can see why. There's many more apartments on that back side. Everyone wants to live back there, I guess. On the front side by the street, there seems to be plenty of parking since there's less apartments. Train: I have been up til 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. most nights with no tv or music playing, and I only heard the train once and it was a little faint. I am in Phase I, though, so not sure how it is in Phase II. Other: The grounds seem to be well maintained, there's several doggie bag/trash containers throughout, a few picnic tables with trash containers and grills, and a few recycle bins. I also like that it looks like some people have lived there a while and have potted plants outside of their immediate apartment area and really make it home. Looks like someone is even growing (potted) tomatoes in an area between buildings. I like seeing people make it home instead of just a temporary place to live. It means they care about the place and take care of it and usually respect others as well. If you don't like that, if you prefer a sterile, newer, perfect environment where your neighbors can't have a plant outside their door, this place may not be for you.
