Where do I begin? If you are considering moving to San Marin, DON T! YOU WILL REGRET IT! To start, shortly after my bf and I moved in, our AC went out on a Thursday evening after the office closed. We called first thing Friday morning and were told it would be fixed Friday. The maintenance worker showed up and said he needed a brand new unit and wouldn t be able to get it that day and because they don t work on the weekend, I would be without AC until Monday. I said no way, it s 90* in my apartment, it needs to be fixed. He said okay, he would be back around 930am the next day. After working til 3am at a restaurant, I woke up exhausted at 9 to be ready. HE NEVER SHOWED. I called the office complaining, and they said the work order showed it was complete. Obviously it wasn t because my apartment was still an oven. To get to my point, it wasn t fixed until Monday. I had a 90* apartment for almost 4 days. Shortly thereafter, in true Texas fashion, the weather went from hot to cold and I turned on my heater. To my surprise, it wouldn t kick on. Again, call the front office and it was fixed two days later. At this point, I m obviously extremely annoyed and talk to the property manager --- and request a credit for the 4 days I couldn t even stand to be in my apartment because it was so hot. His response was, Ma am if we credited rent for every time someone was inconvenienced, we wouldn t be in business. Umm, hello?? Are you just admitting that you are consistently inconveniencing people? Add that to the most recent incident where our AC needed a new filter. We removed the old one and put in a work order for them to bring a new one, as well as request someone to take care of the wasp nest growing on our patio. While we were out, we get an email that says the order is complete. We get home and not only is the wasp nest still there, but there is NO FILTER! These people are IDIOTS!! COMPLETE IDIOTS!! Then, add to that the fact that there is dog poop EVERYWHERE! Oh, and our brand new dishwasher is so ancient that I d rather hand wash dishes because it takes at least 2 cycles to get our dishes clean. Oh yes, and let s not forget when they required my bf to sign updated paperwork and told him I would need to stop by and do the same. So I go into the front office, and no one had any idea what paperwork I needed; and they couldn t find the paperwork my bf signed. Awesome, right?? You d think that be it, right? No. I ve complained about a busted Jeep that takes up a spot, and after it was reversed back into another spot, it s been in the same spot in the parking lot for over 6 weeks. Again. It has moved ONCE in 4 months. Parking sucks bad enough, and if you re going to forbid inoperable cars, then at least follow through. The only disclaimer to this is one lady in the front office, -------, whom I ve only dealt with twice, but she seems to have her ---- together. Seriously, my 12-year-old niece could manage this place better than these fools.
