problems even after you move out

The apartments, in and of themselves, are not all that bad. The floor plans are actually decent for what my wife and I needed. The rent was fairly cheap, but only a few dollars less than other apartments in the area that are quite a bit nicer. The management was fake friendly for most of the time we were there. We would ask for something to be done, a week later it would not be done. We would then call them and ask about it, and a few days later it would be taken care of. Simply put, if you have a maintenance request make sure they actually write it down. The overall manager was quite friendly and if we would have dealt with her earlier, we might have stayed there. However, we have moved to another local apartment complex because the customer service at Middle Brook Gardens was bad. Our lease ended on July 31st and we schedule the walk through of our apartment for July 26th, the lady was more than half an hour late. It is the middle of October and we still have not gotten our security deposit back! I have called, gone in to see them, and done everything I can to get it. They claim it is out of their hands. They have 30 days to return the deposit, or they forfeit any right to keep any of the money. It has been almost two and a half months and still no check. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau on this place, and would not recommend it to anyone!
