Not all bad...
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. There are roaches. The neighbors are loud in every aspect. The apartments are cheaply built. You can hear everything going on outside your apartment because of poor insulation. The floors are uneven and stained, and when we moved in it reeked of cigarette smoke, even though they had put in a new carpet. The fitness center was remodeled last summer, but the equipment is minimal and cheap. The bathroom in there is disgusting, even though I've never seen anyone use it. The pools are consistently dirty. The staff is decent, though they don't seem to care. They're also very slow about telling the maintenance guy (yes, there's only one maintenance guy) when you call in about problems. The grounds look decent. They do have adorable ducks, but the pond they live in isn't well maintained. There are huge potholes near the main entry, and every time they fill them, they reappear a few weeks later. The maintenance guy is incredibly helpful. He replaced our washer/dryer when it broke within two days. He spent several hours in the evening working on our water heater when it started leaking, finally replacing it within four days. When our new washer went crazy, he opened it up and fixed it in two days. However, there's only one of him, and he seems constantly busy. Be nice to him! He's willing to help, so make it easy on him! All in all, it's not terrible. It's far from the best, but you get what you pay for. Our water bill is around $25 a month, and electricity for a 2 bed 2 bath is between $100-$175 throughout the year. I would highly suggest moving into a renovated apartment; I wish we had.Share This Review
