The Management is the Problem!

I signed a 12 month lease and thank God that my lease is up! We moved in and right from the beginning we had issues. They are so unorganized that we frequently got notices saying that we had not paid our deposit, rent, water bill etc. When the facts are that we Paid our full deposit upfront and have alwasy paid the rent and water bill in advance not one time were we ever late. The apartments do have roaches galore! The complex is full of sketchy people and seems to have a drug problem. I have a baby which at the time was only a few months old. Apparently they were getting an apartment ready for new tenants directly behind us and all of the chemicals came into our apartment. We had to leave for 5 days and each day we came back to open the doors and windows but it took a while to finally air out. The management (LEO) did nothing about it acted as if it were no big deal. Once I got upset he said that he would contact his manger and well he never got back to me. A few months later there was mold growing on the base boards and on all of the window seals. They came while I was gone and sprayed it with KILLZ and PAINTED all over all of it. Of course I came home to the fumes with my son and we had to leave once again. Now that we have moved out we are still having problems with them. It has been over a month and we still have not received our deposit. I have seeked legal advice and now they owe us three times the amount of the deposit by law. So just an FYI to all of the people out there that have had issues or are having issues with this complex please know that there are ways to take care of it legally. For the year that I was there I just kept letting them take advantage of me and give me the run around but I have had enough. They have a job because of all of the tentants and they need to realize they have to respect us.
