Resident ā€¢ 2010 - 2011

3/1/2011

Only the price and location

Those are the two things that make it ok. All the other reviews hold true. The staff seems to try some, but it seems when it comes down to it they aren't willing to really delve deep to get the problems resolved here. They don't enforce the rules they have, but it seems it is mostly the minor ones. My main concerns are: The Maintenance issues that just go to deaf ears it seems. It seems 'good enough' or just looking like they did something is fine. I am pretty sure getting it done right is more important. I have lived in government housing with better maintenance. It usually takes 2-4 calls to get something fixed properly.. and the office staff has to call the residents to check and make sure the maintenance did their job properly.. even if it just washing mold off, or getting down dangerous bug nests. The people that come on to the property here, and or live here. I don't feel that my child is safe here. Our first month here, a solicitor came on the property, and my porch, and asked if I knew where to score some drugs in front of my child after handing me a flyer for real estate. She also interacted with a 27 year old that gave her his number so they could play video games together. She is 12. Needless to say I don't let her go check the mail anymore. Most Children that live here are less than refined, and are unfit to be with a little lady like my daughter. There are just very few people here that I myself would be caught interacting with.. in all, my general area however, is quiet enough.. The parking here is ok if you get here before 8pm. After midnight.. good luck. Every spot is nearly taken most days in our area at least. (it's a decently broad area for parking and walking) It can be problematic if you like to do your shopping very late at night and are disabled like myself. I love cedar park, but if Cedar Park Town Homes has an opening I am more likely to give them a shot next year. At least I will have a garage too for about the same price I am paying cost/room wise. Extra story: A great example of staff disconcern: I accidentally tore one of the money orders I was paying with one month, and an office member said she would try to run it anyway by taping it because it was a perfect clean tear. I was literally being stalked that day in the parking lot of the place I bought the money order and was afraid to return there. I almost drove straight to the police station, instead of the apt office, but they didnt follow me out of the parking lot, only out of the store and to my car.. and watched me leave the parking lot. -anyway- I checked up or they checked up a couple days later one of the two i dont remember. They wanted me to go back to the store, and try to get another money order instead, they said they couldnt take that one- So i tried to go back there.. the store said no refunds etc they couldnt replace it.. so I go back to the office, and asked didnt you try to tape it etc.. and she's like I'll try.. WHAT??? You mean you made me waste my time and gas.. and risk going up to that place again so soon because you were too lazy to try tape? UM. right. I love our office. Apparently the tape worked fine.. or she found a way.. because the money was accepted. How would she have felt if the stalker raped and killed me that day?
