This company is engaging in plain theft. Stay away and if you deal with them make sure you know your rights.
The business practices of this place are very bad and shifty! Beware of their practices especially in regards to your security deposit. They even tell you "you have the option of a $300 non-refundable deposit Since when a deposit was not refundable! or a $400 refundable deposit!). This clearly shows their malicious intent. They intend to steal your deposit no matter what!
I made a $400 security deposit when signing a 1 year lease with this property.
I have given notice about my intentions to vacate the premises within their acceptable deadlines and did vacate the premises before 06/26/2017.
I have asked the property staff to do a walk-through of the unit before I leave but they stated that "they would do it themselves without my presence" and refused to even schedule a walk-through with me.
They like to do business when you're not there!
The property management company sent me a mail which I received on 07/22/2017 in which they are charging me $400 (i.e. they took my security deposit) plus and extra $149.96.
All the "damage" reported by them was normal tear and wear of items that weren't new in the first place.
I have left the place in very good conditions and no item was damaged nor altered in any shape way or form as I always do.
I have lived in 3 properties before I moved to Texas, and always got my security deposit back.
My renter / consumer records show that I am a perfect tenant.
They believe that they can intimidate people knowing that they probably don't have the time nor the financial resources to file law suits against them!
Furthermore, they tell you that if you do not pay which they claim you owe, they would take your file to a debt collection agency. This way they can use your consumer reputation and credit score lever as a threat to force you to pay. As a matter of fact they ask you to pay within 10 days. In other terms they do it quick so you wouldn't have the time to react.
