I had a pretty good experience here at The Grand Cypress until last Thanksgiving when my apartment was broken into for the first time. It was broken into another 2 times and my truck was stolen out of the driveway. The mangement tried to make me pay for the window that was broken to get in after the 3rd time and only took the charge off when i produced them with a police report, which was unnecessary since management was there when the police came to begin with. Oh, and the screens that were taken off 3 of my windows, i guess when they were breaking in has still yet to be put back on, maintenance just sat them by the window. I then had to get an alarm system because obviously the security for the property wasn't doing their job, so that was more $$$. Then to top it off, when i went to renew they denied me, and only after contacting corporate did they allow me to renew, which may i add was only 2 months after the last break in and my truck was stolen so i had no choice but to stay cause i had not had enough time to find a new place. Now that i have found a new place, they will not let me out of my lease unless i pay MORE $$$. Also, officers that were working my case for the auto theft and burglary, have told me multiple times that they actually had a suspect and were about to arrest him until office staff tipped off the dad of the suspect who lives in the community and moved his son out that same day...Everyone that i know is moving out or have already moved out of this community because of the management and security.
