My wife and I lived there from November 2014 through March 2015 while our house was neing built. The place is clean, and the front office staf are great to work with - no problems there. We only have a few points you might want to consider before signing a lease here.
1) The parking spaces are narrower than any place I've lived before. Probably only a foot smaller in width, but that makes for door dings.
2) There is plenty of parking, but I always got home late, so I had to park along the far east wall of the complex and walk 250' back to my apartment.
3) There are no sound-deadening materials between floors, so you hear every noise from the renters upstairs. We lived under an obsessed clean freak who vacuumed twice a day. It was maddening to here the chairs in the kitchen moved back and forth as they vacuumed the kitchen floor. The walls are sound proof, though, so we never heard anything from anyone next to us.
4) One wall in each bedroom and in the living/dining area is painted dark brown. And since the light fixtures only have one 60-watt bulb in them, our place was really dark and depressing. I don't know who decided to paint the walls dark brown, but they should've been fired long ago. My suggestion to the management is that they repint al the dark walls. Also, the model unit has brighter lights in it, so it doesn't look so dark. But when you get your unit, the lights are very dim.
5) Trash is a problem. There are large trash containers at several places throughout the complex (which is great) but most residents who live there are too lazy to even put their trash in the bin. Most of the time, the trash bags are thrown on the pavement all around the trash receptical.
6) Traffic is an issue around this complex. The entrance driveway is used by people eating at Cracker Barrel and Gringo's all the time, so getting into and out of the complex can be a slow process at times. Also when you exit the complex onto Mueschke, be careful! The south-bound traffic is deceptive. The cars are moving faster than they appear.
I realize these are picky points, so please tour the complex, look over the unit you will be getting, and see if they'll paint over the brown walls - or let you do it. All of the office staff were great folks, so maybe this is something you can negotiate.
