I have lived here for 3 years because I like the location and I hate moving. I pay over $1,400 a month for a one bedroom 850sqft - not updated unit. I understand that it's overpriced for what I'm getting - but like I've said, I've lived here for 3 years. They increase rent every year so unless you like moving each year, this is what happens. This rent increase is coupled with a decrease in services. They suddenly stopped accepting packages (before Covid, so unrelated) for the foreseeable next year and given the amount of package thefts and car break-ins (at least 3) should be a dealbreaker for you; they've sold all our information to install these "smart" thermostats (marketing gimmick- if you look it up, doesn't actually save money on energy on avg) without obtaining consent first (sold emails, names, phone numbers); elevator works only around 3mo a year; and most of all- my air conditioner broke over four times in the past year. It is broken right now. I have called (left voicemail) and written into their "emergency" maintenance line. I did this at 7:06pm. 4.5 hours later, still no response. If you enjoy trying to sleep when the apartment is 97 degrees mid-July, I guess you're okay. Beware for anyone with children or elderly; this is how "emergency" is treated. I pay over $16,800 annually.. is prompt emergency maintenance really so much to ask for?
