TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Of all the apartments I have lived throughout 5 states and 10 or so properties, Modena by far is the worst. Firstly, very unresponsive and irresponsible staff (especially Allie, the property manager). I thought someone had stolen my apt keys, so I asked the property to de-activate them so that no one can enter my place. When I found my keys a week or so later - sure enough, the keys were not locked. It is also impossible to get a hold of property staff - no one picks up the phone and they are oftentimes absent for hours during a working day. Finally, very mean and rude personnel and turnover is really high - they have new faces there almost every 6 months or less. Secondly, they overcharge for everything they can and can't. Summer 2021 they improperly charged me, refused to correct their mistake and even charged late payment fees without letting me know. If something breaks at the apt - you wait for months for simple repairs. I think at one point the pool was closed for more than 6 months. Finally, the place is very dirty and loud - no discipline is enforced and you can host parties all day long, play loud music past 11 pm, rent property to random AirBnb guests, smoke weed - no one cares.

    The location and amenities are decent, however, staff is really bad at job they are doing - they are pretty slow to reach on anything and repairs usually take weeks or months, unfriendly, unhelpful and can be even aggressive sometimes. Also it is very hard to escalate it to the corporate so customer service is extremely poor.

      Overall, not bad, but service staff is not very helpful or knowledgeable at times. Repairs and maintenance takes a very very long time to make, eg we had open gate for a month or so and broken elevator for weeks...not talking about pool which took 4 months to repair or something like that. Staff has to be more helpful and fast, especially when it comes to repair and maintenance.
