Run before they take your moey

Run away as quickly as you can. I have lived here for 3 years because I am cheap. I really wish I hadn't. My final utility bill was an estimate for the final 2 months and they expect me to pay it before I even make my final rent payment. After 5 days they posted a notice on my door for the unpaid balance on a bill which wasn't even a current bill but an estimate for my final 2 months. After calling the office I was told that since it was not a current bill I could pay it with my next rent payment. I requested a call from the manager and ---- said he would send her an email. Guess he didn't because now I have another notice on my door saying I have 24 hours to pay the bill. I am laying odds that not only will I not see a cent of my deposit but they will somehow conjure up something to try and get more money. Enough about my griping about that I'll tell you about my entire experience. The carpets were crap when I moved in. The sliding doors was falling off it's track, the dish washer leaked, the A/C vents appear to have mold. When I was shown my apartment I was told that the unit I was moving into didn't have a fireplace but instead had a nook where the fireplace should have been. WRONG just a flat wall. No ceiling fans even though I asked about those also. The gate to my balcony was rotting and falling apart. They never fixed it. I made 4-5 work orders about the dish washer and it was never fixed. I finally just gave up and left a towel under it. There is mold in the walls. Any visible wood appears to be rotting which makes me really worried about the wood you can't see. The front gate has been broken about as often as it is working. The residents that live here scare just about anyone who has been over. You will constantly hear the thumping of some stereo as someone goes rolling down the parking lot. The parking lot is constantly trashed with garbage left in front of the dumpster. There are always people out in the parking lot talking to someone occasionally stopping a vehicle which will have to go around. If you have guests over who park in the back tell them to bring a flashlight so they can see anyone before they are jumped. It is right next door to the dairy queen where a guy was shot in the parking lot, multiple store have been broken into. They approved the couple who killed their kid and threw it in lake Lewisville. You will learn how to sleep thru the train horn and planes flying over. Not sure how many Katrina evacuees are still around but they tore up everything they touched. The pool is constantly dirty. I ve never had to use the laundry facilities but I doubt have the people that use it actually live here based on the number of people I ve seen drive up to it. Watch your step on any grass because you will probably step in dog crap. This place is great if you are the loud person who trashes everything you touch, you are the girl screaming to her boyfriend who just got arrested about how your babies daddy isn t paying his child support, or you re the drug dealer thug who wants to lay low. They are cheap for a reason and I am paying the price for it now.
