Very pleased with the apartments! Signed a new lease!

For starters... I'm taking a look over some of the previous reviews and I can't help but laugh at the untruthful and negativity that comes out of some of these peoples mouths! I understand not everyone will always have a pleasant experience with where they are living but you are always going to run into something you don't like... but FYI that is ANYWHERE you go. Like stated in previous reviews... you're in an APARTMENT not a HOUSE so if you have a problem with the noise you can call the security, complain to management or MOVE when your lease is up! As far as people saying these apartments have roaches.. I'd like to know where you are living... because it is not these apartments. I've been in a 1/1 since June 09 and have never once seen roaches... and I'm sure if I had (or if YOU had) all I would of had to do was call the office and someone would of set something up with an exterminator... PLUS remember when you signed your lease and your agent told you they (exterminators) come out every (or every-other) week and if you have a special request all you have to do is submit your request to the office. They are not mind readers so how are the supposed to know if there is an issue when you don't say anything to them?! Also, when you have a maintence request it is normally tended to within 24 hours and they always give a follow up call to make sure everything was taken care of. If it is an emergency request they do have on-call which calls you back almost immediately and they normally come out very quickly. We are moving into a 2/2 as of 4/15/10 and Autumn (the so-called "drunk" manager) has been nothing but professional and helpful in our move. She has never once been dishonest with us nor stolen money (as other reviews have mentioned) and she has NEVER been drunk. Overall... Granted these apartments are older but they are very well kept (lawn people are out a few times a month), dumpsters are always pretty clear (I've seen much worse, PS it's the lazy tennants who can't seem to make the trash into the dumpster and just HAVE to throw it on the ground), common areas and breezeways are relatively quiet, for the area and beautiful property they are pretty inexpensive, and the office staff is ALWAYS very professional and polite. I'm so close to work and very close to everywhere my partner and I like to go, and before some arrogant jerk says I work in the leasing office, I don't. I work in Addison about 15 minutes away and my partner works in Plano about 7 minutes away and living this close is so convienant because we can both come home enjoy lunch and walk our pups. I would highly recommend Nantucket Landing to any of my friends looking for a new place and will definitely continue to renew my lease for years to come.
