New Office Staff is Incompetent and Dishonest

I know that management frequently changes as is very common in business practices, however the last management change last fall has proven to be a step in the wrong direction for the good of Milano and its tenants. When I signed my lease in the spring of last year everything about the complex was well maintained and functional and the staff was very friendly, accepted responsibility, took an active part in maintaining the complex (the manager used to plant flowers in the flower beds herself) and most importantly they were honest. <br> <br>Just a mere three months after I moved in the management and office staff changed completely. Soon after, security gates were either not working or chained shut, an abominable number of late notices were sent even if payments were not actually late...I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt, they are new to this place too and there are always adjustments. However the situation has not changed, and if anything it has gotten worse. The gates still don´t work, the grounds are covered in dog poo, trees have been uprooted, thefts have occurred in the parking lots, equipment from the workout facility has been stolen and not replaced, the grass on the interior of the complex has died, in the late fall the pool was overrun by neighborhood kids and people who were not actually tenants and if you make a complaint about something you are 100% confident they did in error they are more than quick to tell you that you are either wrong or that you are at fault for the mistake they made and then do not proceed to make it right. They are seemingly nice if you are simply there to pay rent, water or pick up a package, but as soon as you have any problems with how something is done, they are difficult to deal with, quick tempered, defensive and do not ever treat you with the same initial nicety that they did before you came to them about the problem. <br> <br>I am no longer considering renewing my lease and am happy I signed one for no longer than a year, I would hate to see this place a year from now if the current staff and management remain in charge. <br> <br>If you are considering moving to the area I would suggest one of the other many complexes nearby that are similar in style (Stoneleigh, Franciscan, or the new one just built right behind Milano), I have many co-workers who are tenants in some of the nearby complexes who have never had any issues like there have been here. I Highly recommend looking elsewhere.
