Not what I expected

Colonial G. was recommended to me by a colleague and seemed like a good complex at first, since then she has moved and so will I. From the exterior you will be completely fooled by the well kept lawn, the sparkling pool, and the cosmetics. The only good thing about the apartment is the availability of parking however covered parking spots are very limited and probably the bathroom & closet space. Everything in the units are "resurfaced" or cheaply painted over and outdated. My garden tub was "resurfaced" and after two weeks I began to notice a large bubble then shortly after a large crack. Its also true about the counter tops being super easy to stain. Out of the 12 months I lived there the gates only worked for 3 and they charge $50 for the access key, then you will hear a different excuse every time you inquire about it not working. The maintenance guy is extremely nice but seriously one guy for a large complex is not enough, do the math on service request. Omg the trash is the worst thing! Its piled sky high for days, overflowing past the trash compactor and you cant miss it bc its in the front as soon as you enter the gate. They will also charge you a ridiculous amount if you do not walk the apt when you leave. Be sure to walk with them, my colleague was charged $300 for nothing and had to contact corporate. I could go on and on but the bottom line is I would not dare recommend this complex to anyone. Please listen to the reviews and do no move here!!!
