Properties owned by Colonial have recommend rates under 30% in the DFW area. They have a well established reputation for delivering bad service, the cheapest construction material available, and the cheapest appliances available. The only area they invest are cosmetic, curb appeal areas that hook suckers-- I mean renters.
Just plain bad service
The Colonial Grand is great looking property with some of the worst service I have encountered in all my years of renting apartments.

I was never able to upload the pictures I took, however I will describe some to the pictures I took and the issue I encountered. Management is extremely poor and is constantly changing. It took over six months to get the neighbors bathtub run off to stop running into our garage and we had to contact the corporate office to get that fixed. They fixed the leak in November of 2009 but they still have yet to patch the hole they cut in the dry wall to access the pipe that was leaking. Hopefully I will be able to post that picture soon also. The exercise room has been worthless most of the 2 years I have lived here because 8 out the 10 machines they have are broken. The new management may have fixed them recently. I will check and update soon.

Tried to find another apartment in the area no vacancies available for our desired move in date so unfortunately we are still stuck here. The square hole in our garage still isn't fixed. And the performance of the cheap dishwasher is getting worse.
