Quality Apartments, but...
For the money you pay, Milano apartments are spacious and extremely well laid-out. The apartments and property are attractive and generally well maintained. I was able to get a great deal on the floorplan I´m currently living in; well below market value for the apartment. Maintenance usually responds within a week for minor issues, and within 24 hours for major breakages. The major problems come in dealing with other residents and management staff.

Because of the attached garages that most of their apartments have, several people near mine like to have tailgate parties until late in the evening. Management is powerless to stop people from making noise, and refuse to even try. They insist that you take up any noise concerns with the Euless police. You will also have to deal with being underneath the flight pattern for aircraft entering and exiting DFW airport, which gets noisy. As long as you have the windows closed you´ll hardly notice the sound, but when you open them in the Spring and Fall forget about watching TV or listening to the radio. It´s not something Milano can help, but it is something to be warned about.

My girlfriend and I are allergic to cigarette smoke, but smoke has been filtering into our apartment since November. We recently found out that the ventilation ducts are all connected, so if someone is smoking in another apartment, it can (and does) flow into neighbors´ apartments. Again, management refuses to deal with the situation, citing smokers´ rights. If you have health concerns with second-hand smoke, Milano is not for you.

If security is an issue, be warned that the entry gates are perpetually broken. However, this is not the management´s fault. Within 24-48 hours of repairing the gates, someone will inevitably ram them off of their tracks again. I´ve never seen the gates working for more than a few days at a time, but it´s because a resident (or residents) keep ruining them.

Overall, I´ve had a reasonably pleasant experience at Milano. However, health and noise concerns are forcing me to move to a different location, further from the airport.Share This Review
