Ready for an unready, non working home?

Well I did love these apartments at first as I rated them 5 stars. But since Caleb in the office decided to literally laugh at me begging for maintenance to fix my AC and to stop saying nothing is wrong with it, my feelings have since changed. I’ve found countless problems with my apartment since moving in a month ago, it’s almost like they never walked through it or fixed anything before leasing it to me. The list of problems in just the last month are as follows: major leak below sink in my bathroom (it ruined a whole bag of toilet paper, toilet cleaning products, and other misc items), my hot water heater was broken so I couldn’t wash my clothes, take a shower, etc. There is a plastic strip liner on the floor separating the laundry room from kitchen, came off the floor very first day. My apartment came with no shower rod to hang my shower curtain on so had to request one of those as well. There is a literal rock underneath my carpet, so everytime I walk on a specific area, I feel the huge rock that they didn’t move and carpeted over. Every single outlet did not work or is very loose that plugs immediately fall out. There are construction boot marks on my wall in the bathroom. The hardwood floor in my bathroom and kitchen are VERY scuffed up and coming apart/lifting. My oven top is hugely dented, I haven’t used it yet because I’m fearful there’s a broken gas gauge. And the sliding door to my balcony is the hardest thing to open. It takes all my strength to even budge it. Now for the best part, my AC. I have had them come out 3 separate times to check it because it’ll say it’s set to 71 but it’s blowing out 78. They keep telling me nothing is wrong with it. And Caleb in the office yesterday, I guess since I’m a woman, kept speaking over me and explaining how ACs work and that they’ve been by and nothing was wrong with AC. I’ve lived in third floor apartments the last 6 years, the heat only affects the third floor by like 2 degrees. Not 7. Especially in Texas 100 degree weather, this has been frustrating to be told over and over nothing is wrong and I should be fine with 78 when it’s set to 71. Hell, 73 would work. But I refuse to sit and sweat in my apartment I pay $1400+ for. I remained calm as I explained the issue but immediately Caleb started talking over me and not wanting to listen to what I was saying so I said “please just fix it” and hung up and he called back to argue about it more! I was actually appalled at this behavior and I wasn’t having it, so I went down to the office and Caleb laughed in my face and then closed the apartments office doors, locked them, laughed at me more, and walked off while I’m visibly upset that he doesn’t want to help fix this issue when clearly there’s something wrong with the AC even though he, who has never stepped foot in my apartment, says there isn’t. I end up having to stay at my boyfriend’s house each time because I can’t sleep in 78/79 degrees and I shouldn’t have to if I’m paying this much for a 30 year old apartment. Also, property manager is so entirely rude. She can be having a conversation with a friend and you walk in, but you’ll just have to wait until her conversation is over before she’ll even acknowledge your existence. Has happened several times now. All in all, I just wish they had given me an apartment that was ready and in working order. This apartment clearly was barely looked over and checked out. I was promised luxury style apartments and this barely scratches that. I’d be happy to change my rating if I got a personal apology from Caleb and if they either fixed every single issue in there or give me an entire new unit. Until then, I say avoid these apartments so you don’t have the same problems as I have.
