Do not rent here !!!

I moved here in 2001 thinking this was an upscale property with security and a good clientel. This was the case for a while but then anyone with good credit moved out into houses. The 4 month free rent deals has brought people into the complex that would normally rent elsewhere. <br><br>New management have just taken over and are now changing the rules using the TAA contract that removes all rights from the renter. <br>Yesterday a note was left on the door advising that effective August 1st if rent is not paid by the first of the month residents will be responsible for entire rent and not receive any discounts and specials per their TAA lease. I feel sorry for any American Airlines employees here who after being laid off are about to get screwed by their landlord. <br><br>Today a note was on the door stating that any water bill payments not received by 24th July by 9:00 am would be subject to an additional $20 late fee. Since my water bill is usually around $6 I think the owners must have owned a pawn shop to apply such penal rates. Everyone will be caught with this one as the notices were placed on doors after the deadline !. <br>All the other posts are correct regarding the gates not working and mosquito problems due to drainage ditch problems. <br>Anyone a resident at Milano may have good reason to break their lease based on the security/safety aspect especially as there have been numorous thefts of wheels and watercraft from the complex. <br>Check police reports with the Euless police dept for details of incidents here.
