Bad Experience to say the least

I have lived in Milano Apartment now for Appx 6 months. When I first saw them, I thought, they would be out of my price range, much to my surprise they weren´t. I was also concerned that they would not allow me to bring my large breed dog, however, they were willing to do anything to get me in there and take my money. I was offered a fantastic deal when I moved in, a substantial amount off of my first month´s rent, and several months off of my 12 month lease. However, I later learned why. The apartments although they are nice on the outside are very cheap on the inside, the carpet in my unit was very stained and the unit was not cleaned as you would expect for a move-in. However, for the most part the manegement was nice when I went in to pick-up packages and such. However, the policies of the management company are very rigid, there is no room for error. On my second month´s rent I went into the office at about 9:30 to pay my rent, it was a monday, the office is closed on sunday, and I was informed that rent was due on the 1st, no excuses. I replied, its the second...and yesterday was a sunday. "You should have left it in the drop box!" I wasn´t aware of the drop box and every other apartment i had been in had always had a 3-day grace period...not here! $30 fee for one day late. It was my fault I will say that, but, come on people, is it worth upsetting your residents. <br>The biggest thing has been as all of the others have stated, the NEW management, they are horrible. Apartment Natzis if you will. They have a fee for everything, it seems that if you walk across the property wrong they charge you a 20 dollar fee. This small fees add up. They HAVE fixed the gates however, be prepared to pay a deposit of 30 dollars on your entry remote, ohh yea, 15 is non-refundable...why is that, if you return the remote in working order what costed them 15dollars? As far as pets, 500 dollar deposit for mine, 300 non-refundable. I wouldn´t be surprised if in the next couple of months that there will be a new set of office people cause the ones they are paying now are horrible. I can´t find a single person who is satisfied with their experience at Milano. Ohh I had an opportunity to be transferred to Austin, couldn´t take the job though it was going to cost me 2800 to get out of my lease. Is that not ridiculous? happy apartment searching stay away from this complex unless you have alot of money and patience to spare.
