I love it!

I've lived in Avery Pointe for over 2 years now and it's been great. The rent does increase, but I've had rent increases in every apartment complex I've lived in since college -- happens all over, not just Avery Pointe. I've signed long leases so it hasn't gone up too high for me. I noticed people complained about the curb-side trash pickup. Residents, myself included, definitely use this service (those who think no one uses it are the one's who obviously don't have to wake up before 9am). It doesn't clutter/dirty up the curbs for that long.. you're supposed to put your trash out in the morning before 9am...not at 9pm the night before. I see the workers out there when I leave for work MWF picking up the trash right at 9. I think it's a nice perk to living here, especially since I live in the back and walking up to the dumpster is a pain. It's worth the measly $6 a month to me. Maintenance has been wonderful -- I did have 2 leaks in my ceiling when I first moved in, but they were promptly taken care of. Pool/hottub is always very clean. I've even used the hottub in the middle of winter and it was up and running and well kept. Grounds are VERY safe. I have never once seen so much as broken glass from a car break-in. Ever, in two years. I'm a single female so safety is probably my top priority when choosing a place to live. I will say that the security guard position needs to be filled -- there hasn't been a guard working here for a good 7-8 months now, and the gate wasn't working for a couple of months, but even still, never had issues with safety! Only problem I've ever had with other residents here was constant, late night/early morning noise. Called the non-emergency police and never had a problem again. Simple as that. Everyone here is very friendly! Plus, the view is amazing.
