RENTERS BEWARE!!!

I originally thought this place was a nice place to rent until I continually had a lack of communication with the ever-changing office staff and maintenance that never returned calls or made-up excuses for bad management and forgotten requests. Then after move-out I was not mailed my deposit refund within the 30-days that is required. In fact it has been 2 months and I still have not received it. I finally got a response after letting the management know I would be involving my lawyer if I did not receive it; supposedly it's now in the mail. Also, I was owed $450, but am only receiving $127 because they deducted an extra cleaning fee for supposed "dirty" stove/oven even though I used the self-cleaning option and cleaned the drip pans in the dishwasher, dust on top of the fans, and other items they claim that they just charge a flat fee; also, they deducted another fee for pet damage and claimed that the carpet cleaners have a special tool that tells them if there is any urine in the carpet. First off, I always clean my apt. upon move-out better than the condition of when I initially move-in, plus I had wood paneling throughout the entire apt. except for the bedroom and my cat was not allowed in the bedroom, let alone urinated in all four corners as the manager claimed the carpet cleaners detected with their "special tool". Bottom line, if you have a pet be ready to basically lose your pet deposit and be charged for ridiculous charges even if you leave the place spotless. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and then all the false deductions taken from my deposit. If I had more time and still lived in the same state I probably would still sue, so I'll just rely on Karma. Another thing, the new management company that took over this property supposedly prided themselves on customer service and sent out a letter with an email and number to call in case the property manager did not take care of a situation properly; BH Management are liars, they never once answered the number, answered messages, or emails. It's obvious this company is just hurting to make extra money on top of their over-priced rent and fees. Not to mention the security access gate was always broken and when I asked the front desk when it would be fixed they said in a week. It was left open for over 2 months after I asked, and was still broken when I moved out. Bottom-line, if you want to get taken advantage of by a bunch of con artists and crooks rent here, otherewise STAY AWAY!!!
