Resident ā¢ 2004 - 2008

So So
Okay, I lived here for four years so I feel like I have a wide enough time frame for a valid opinion of the property. I first rented in June of 2004 and the community was very nice then. I never really had much contact with the managment company (which had just switched to Amli), but I never had any issues and any maintenance issues I had were taken care of. Biggest thing... maintenance had left my apartment door completely unlocked MORE THAN ONCE! I can say that the reason I decided to move out was because of the slow decline of the property. It is true that crime in the area has increased... we received letters several times of car and apartment break ins. However, I can't fault the apartment community for that. This is a city and regardless of where you live, those things happen. They probably could put a little more effort into making sure the drive gates work properly to create somewhat of a deterrent to the "unwanteds". The exterior of the building are not well maintained... moldy looking apartment doors, siding and rails to balconies and patios. Birds making nests in the breezeway of the buildings, squirrels getting into "holes" in the building where you can hear them between the walls and the outside. The "quality" of residents had changed tremendously. I understand that the complex has to rent to whoever qualifies, but there are some very questionable looking people there. Loud cars, drinking in the parking lot, fast food smeared on cars in the middle of the night, broken down cars. The place just started looking bad. Someone close to me must have had roaches (and I mean "dirty" roaches) b/c I had seen a few in my apartment on three different occassions. I just think that's indicative of your neighbors and the type of people you live around. I worked at a community that hard "dirty" roaches... and that is NOT somehting that should be happening here. Overall, not a bad place to live. I actually miss living there sometimes. I was just really not happy in the slow decline of the property. That just makes me think that management is giving up and caring less, while still raising rents. I would suggest this for a place to live... maybe.Share This Review
