DO NOT MOVE HERE! The entrance and exits to that place are death traps!!!! Seriously. The traffic is horrendous and there are numerous wrecks there, often. I am suprised no one has gotten killed. The maintenance, ahhh the maintenance, sure they are good about coming to fix things right away, but it takes them MULTIPLE TRIPS TO ACTUALLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM. POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP....Moving on...The staff is very unfriendly, particularly Randy. Their ability to financially manage things is horrible and disorganized! Particularly direct debit/auto pay should you need to move accounts. Keep your reciepts!!! The neighbors are very clickish...and if you are not accepted by the old group that lingers by the pool all day and night then you are outcast. Everyone there seems to be on a tight leash. The property is NOT child friendly. You have to be 16 to be in the pool, use the raquetball court, the gym or the internet cafe. There is not enough parking, and definitely not enough handicapped parking. There is no smoking by the pool. The plumbing is bad. I have had leaks and toilet problems. My water bill has increased because of that. I have bugs now that I did not have prior to moving in. The apartments are not well insulated and my electric bill has increased because of it also. My a/c continues to have problems. The pools close at 10pm, even on the weekends and if you are there later than that, some neighbors think it appropriate to call HPD, when you are not doing anything wrong and being quiet. The jacuzzi is not a HOTTUB and what jets that are there suck bad. There isn't enough patio furniture for the pool and the furniture that is there is cheap. There are flowers by the pool which attracts lots of bees and wasps. Pets are allowed but they really are not pet friendly either.Everyone there walks on eggshells to appease all the disgruntled neighbors, it is rediculous. I have never felt so out of place---- when I pay $1,000 a month for rent for a one bedroom apartment for which I am trapped in until my lease is over. The community has it's nose stuck up so far in the air it's rediculous. Get over yourself. There is NOTHING luxury about AMLI. Not even the countertops, floors or appliances. No valet, not even door side trash pick up. They are just average apartments that overcharge rent. Sure, it's in a decent neighborhood-but if your neighbors are all tightwads and grumpy people with chips on their shoulders and the office management is just as horrible if not worse, then it makes it impossible to enjoy any of the amminities. TWO THUMBS DOWN! Don't move in here if you are trying to raise a family or would like even a hint of leisure or so called luxury as they state they are or if you want to make friends.. most of the neighbors here are NOT. You'll just be outcast and a lease violoation thrown on your door without a call from the office should one of your children get blamed for something, even if innocent or if someone thought you were being loud and it wasn't even you. Not to mention, that if you want to move there is a two month termination fee and if you want to stay month to month the rent raises double for those months. When your lease expires for renewal they jack up the rent by $3-500. Oh and the apartments have NO storage whatsoever inside the units. Lastly, they add the water bill in with the rent, they are on separate meters, but AMLI bills you, so they have their markup on that too! Cable and internet NOT inlcuded in that rental price! WAY OVERPRICED AND FAR TO STRICT FOR THE AMOUNT CHARGED AND THE DRAMA YOU HAVE TO PUT UP WITH. NOT HAPPY...MY SUGGSTION...RENT NEXT DOOR.. I LIVED THERE AND WISH I HADN'T MOVED BUT I WAS ATTRACTED TO THE NEXT EGG PROGRAM..LITTLE DID I KNOW ABOUT ALL THE DRAMA AND PROBLEMS..HOLY COW
