We've enjoyed our time at Calais. Mid town is a great neighborhood and central to most in the loop activities. The pricing is competitive for the area and the units have a decent amount of space. The appliances are a little old but the price and neighborhood make up for it. In an industry (leasing management) that has a lot of "bad apples" Venterra has been very professionally but more importantly transparent. When managing a property issues arise and management usually have limited options so I don't hold extreme cases against them but what I do pay attention to is communication and community interaction, which Venterra has been excellent at. If there's any issues with the grounds or security we often get notified within the hour which we greatly appreciate.
